Let It Be What Fish?
I like the challenge of figuring out the puzzle for bass and that I can be doing something most of the time. I can be really patient, as long as I'm doing something

Night Time Bass Feeding = Slower Morning?
Yes. I've had some great nights of fishing when it got really tough after the sun had been up for a couple hours, usually during the really hot summer months it seems.

Well Where Next?
If I ever beat my PB largemouth it will almost surely come from south of the boarder. I could easily beat my PB right here in KS, would be either at Melvern or Milford.

Super Moon
Same here. Full moon equals a tough night bite for me in clear or dirty water. I'd still go if it was an option, but I'll be at work all night

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I think Pleasanton East was on the docket for next Saturday. I won't be able to make it so it's up to whoever is fishing on times and everything. That one almost has to be a paper tournament since it's a 21" lake though.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Similar to something we've discussed a little bit. It's less stress on the fish, easier on boats that don't have the best livewells/any livewell to participate, and it makes the lakes with a slot, 18" or 21" length limit a more viable option. I think the only hard thing we might have in that situation is getting everyone to buy the same ruler so we're all getting the same measurements.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Beats not weighing anything week after week at Wyco though right? Not going to have any monster bags of fish weighed in these things, but everyone having a few 12" fish is a whole lot better than nobody weighing anything.

Who Else Is Ready For Fall To Get Here!
This summer hasn't been bad at all. I think we've had maybe 2 days in triple digits when last year we had almost a month straight of it. Our winters suck, I'd much rather be sweating than freezing. I shoveled enough snow to fill an Olympic swimming pool last year, not ready to start doing that again. The fall bite never happened last year either. I'd like to hang onto summer for quite a bit longer thank you very much.

Best Spinning Reel Under $100 For Drop Shotting
I have a few Supremes and Presidents. Do yourself a favor and stick with the President and use the money you would have spent on baits or whatever. The difference just is not worth the extra $40 IMO. Plus I've had problems with the screws falling out of the frame of the Supremes and I have another that the drag doesn't work at all, it's always at 100% so it won't slip no matter how hard you pull. Never had any problems with the Presidents though.

Ugly Stik Rods For Bass?
The Ugly Stick lite rods aren't terrible. They're good rods to keep in your car with you in case an emergency fishing situation presents itself

Purple Scale Pre Rapala Wiggle Wart.
X2. You can still get $10-$15 for it most likely because someone will want it to get it painted in a craw color.

No Need Really
I couldn't fish with every bait I owned without changing baits every cast in a years worth of fishing.

Very Impressed With Spro Frog!
Snap your rod tip downwards sharply then immediately move your rod back towards the bait to throw some slack in the line. You have to have slack to allow the bait to move freely from side to side and effectively walk. It takes some practice to do but it's very well worth the effort

Top Water Bait For Spinning Rod?
You could fish a majority of topwaters on that rod. It isn't going to be the best option for a lot of them but you can do it. Very small poppers and walkers would be tough, as would large walking baits and buzzbaits. I wouldn't try to fish a frog on it but most any other topwater you could make it work for. It's hard for me to give some baits that require more manipulation the right action with a spinning rod but I'm sure it could be done with practice. For the situation you're describing I would look into a small buzzbait in the 1/4 or even 1/8 oz size or a smaller wake bait.

Jigs (Weight And Trailers)
I prefer a 1/2oz for a majority of my fishing, shallow or deep. I'll go down to a 1/4oz or up to 1oz as the situation dictates though. I use Paca chunks, YUM craw papis, Zoom Big critter and critter craws, and twin tail trailers a majority of the time. I really like the twin tails for fishing a football jig, chompers makes a great one.

A Couple Of Decent Mornings
Going to have to get me some of those 6th Sense flat baits. Our bass eat lots of gills and it looks like that bait is about the perfect size and shape.

Is 2-3 Hours Without A Bite Common In Summer?
Yes, very common around here. There's some lakes that, when I fished a lot of tournaments, it was well known that what you had in the livewell by 9am was probably all you'd have by the end of the day. It just gets extremely difficult when the sun gets high and it gets hot out.

Did You Know
I planned months in advance the trip that I caught my PB largemouth on. All 3 smallmouths that I've caught that tied for my PB were all just the fruit of hard work and hours put in on the water.

How Many States Have You Caught Bass In?
Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Indiana, Arkansas, and Kansas. Also caught bass in Mexico and Canada.

Plum Colored Baits
Red bug is more of a reddish variation of junebug than anything but not all that far off from plum either really. Blue fleck like RW mentioned is another one that's pretty close, or electric grape. It's a very versatile color really. I've caught bass in water with a foot of visibility, to water with 10-20 feet of visibility like Table Rock. This is especially true of the plum apple color from Zoom. Different companies variations of plum vary a bit. The OP mentioned Zoom's Plum colored Ol' Monster which is reddish with purple/blue flake but some companies plum colors are more dark purple.

What Kinda Snake Is This?
Copperheads, and most venomous snakes for that matter, have very triangular shaped heads, which that snake does not.
