Most painful thing that happened on the water?
So many painful memories. I've been hooked more times than I'd like, one time was connected via #11 Original Rapala to my panicked mutt that decided to grab the bait midair. My dad drug a deep diving crank across the top of my head on his backcast. Stepped on a rusty piece of chicken wire that stabbed into my big toe to the bone before breaking off in my toe. Took the Dr some digging to get that one out. Had a Locust thorn go through my shoe and break off in the arch of my foot. Almost tore off my thumbnail getting it smashed between the ball and the hitch loading the boat up. Been cut by every kind of line out there. Been stuck and sliced by a few catfish fins and got to deal with the burning, nausea, sweats that comes with that. Stepped out of the truck onto my smooth shop floor with muddy/wet shoes a couple weeks ago and went down hard partially on the shop floor and partially in the door jam of my truck. Probably the most painful was missing my step trying to step out of my old johnboat on the river boat ramp after a night of catfishing. Tried to step on the trailer, missed completely and fell flat on my back and slammed the back of my head on the rough concrete boat ramp. I saw stars for several minutes as I laid there hoping I wasn't bleeding too badly from my head before I got up and walked on my wobbly legs to the truck. Had a pounding headache for the next few days from it, glad I didn't end up in the water though.

My biggest double
No, I caught several plus this double on a big glide that day. A 3.8 Keitech on an underspin and a swinghead with a Z man Boar HogZ caught a lot of my fish that day.

Girlfriend and hobbies?
I was guessing OP left the screen up on his computer and GF read it.

Great morning
Been seeing quite a few of those wobbly legged little critters around here lately.

When to Set the Hook?
I set the hook immediately when I detect a bite. Even a small bass can and will quickly inhale a surprisingly large bait. Look up Bigmouth Forever on Youtube and it'll open your eyes to how easy a bass takes in a bait.

Bream colored baits
It's a regional thing, both are the wrong usage of the word. A brim is the edge of a hat, a bream is a kind of fish, but not the ones we're thinking of. People around here call any kind of bluegill/sunfish a "perch", drives me crazy. Down south you don't know if someone is talking about a freshwater panfish, or a saltwater fish when they're catching "specks". White perch gets used for actual white perch, and crappie. Us fishermen are a confusing (or confused), bunch.

Shimano Curado vs Lews Tournament MB
Ford vs Chevy. Best thing is to get somewhere you can handle both and figure out which feels best to you. Both make great reels, but it doesn't matter how great a reel is if it doesn't feel good in your hands.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
Nice! Almost the exact same size as the biggest I've caught on the rig that shall not be named.

Whopper Plopper Not Plopping Too Much
I fish the 90 on a 7' M/F rod with 20lb braid. Hold the rod tip high and make sure to start cranking as soon as it hits the water. Nice thing with the braid is I just reel into the strikes, keeps me from jerking it away from the fish.

Recomendations for a digital scale
I also use the portable luggage scale. I bought 4 of them and just stash them all over. They seem to be very accurate and the 4 of them weight very consistently, good enough for me.

Sunglasses for giant heads.
The Costa Fisch frames have worked well for my size 8 melon.

My biggest double
I speed the bait up or kill it, sometimes one then the other. What triggers one day might not the next. It seems like speeding it up is usually the best option. The way I see it, baitfish usually don't stop or slow down when their life is on the line. A lot of times I'll even have the bait bulging the surface and popping out of the water. It works great when they're chasing big gizzard shad that like to jump out of the water to avoid predators.

I have it and some waterproofing wash, helped a little, but still seems to soak up the rain.

Smallmouth weight
Wow, 18" and 4.41 pounds is crazy fat and this one was even fatter? I caught a super fat 20" smallmouth several years ago that was 5 on the nose.

what did the dog say?
- For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Thanks for the report. Was thinking of going there Thursday but not if those crappie are still shallow pecking at everything. @Hi Salenity is going to upset if he finds out you're messing with his pet kitties.- How many times pitching to spot
As many as it takes if I feel like there's a fish there. Usually I'm just looking for active fish so it'll be *** times for stumps and maybe a half dozen for a good looking laydown.- How Many?
No system necessary, just get one of these. - For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
