  1. Kelce was a big part of why they lost that game. Dropping 2 key passes, one that may have been a touchdown had he caught it, then that boneheaded penalty. He claims to be an elite TE, but his actions don't prove it. I'm not a Smith fan, but his pick was deflected. I don't know any KC fans that think he's the QB that can get them to the superbowl. Most are desperately wishing they would draft and actually groom a QB for the future instead of trying to use everyone else's rejects.
  2. One of the few fish I've caught that I haven't eaten, no desire to either. I've heard buffalo is good, they even sell it in stores around here in chunks for $4 a pound, I'd like to get in on that deal.
  3. I fish a 3 way rig for catfish and wipers during the winter with live or fresh dead shad. I've caught some really nice bass doing it, even on dead or cut shad.
  4. When I'm bass fishing I'm usually moving. That said, I'm a multispecies guy and watching a bobber waiting for it to twitch or watching a tight line on a river bank waiting for my baitfeeder to start clicking is just as exciting. I grew up fishing for food, which often entailed soaking live bait for whatever came along. I still enjoy getting back to my roots.
  5. It would be great if everyone could just be nice to each other in everyday life.
  6. I love taking my oldest son, now 3 years old, out fishing with me. I know when I head out I'm looking at 30 minutes on the water at the most. I'm also 100% certain that I'm targeting bluegills because they're the easiest fish to get to bite. I must be doing something right because at this point he's still asking a couple times a week to go fishing, despite it being the dead middle of winter. Most fishing trips quickly turn into rock throwing trips, but that's okay because he's having fun and that's what we're there for.
  7. Just throw the 40lbs of bricks in. If there's nothing else in the pond, those will attract fish for sure.
  8. I've experimented with different knots but settled on the SDJ for fluorocarbon and Palomar for most everything else. That said, use what works for you. If you're good at tying a snell knot and it's working satisfactory for you, roll with it.
  9. What time of year are you talking about? The backs of those shallow bays with feeder creeks in them are going to be good early when the water starts to warm up.
  10. Smallmouth are curious fish that seem to love gaudy colors at times. Bright chartreuse or white are often good colors even in very clear water. Fish don't have hands to grab something to inspect it, only their mouth. It's possible they're grabbing it more out of curiosity than hunger.
