  1. I had issues with line twist but I suspect thatwas mainly because I used it for dropshot. It was good handling and strongotherwise.
  2. Are you looking for the weight and collar molded as one piece or the 2 pieces separate?
  3. Stopped at a DSG checking on their Pitboss supply. Struck out on those but they had a bunch of stuff on clearance. Bought my first Pop Max ever in White Python, a Spro Rat 30, a Megabass Flap Slap, and a KVD 300 jerkbait, all on clearance.
  4. Mend it will save you a lot of money.
  5. They were so thick the last 2 hours that it was a bite every cast. It was so bad that if I'd hook one and lose it, all I did was stop reeling and another one would grab it. I had video where I was casting my RES and while it was sinking I was starting my camera but a fish would run off with it like I was fishing a jig instead.
  6. Had the first 100+ fish day of the year yesterday before the big storm gets here. Largemouth, smallmouth, whites, wiper, walleye, crappie, and drum all found their way to the boat. Caught fish on swimbaits, bladed jigs, traps, cranks, traps, beavers, even a float-n-fly. I literally caught fish on my first and last cast of the day when I got called off the water. This was my first cast of the day.
  7. I doubt I caught 50 bass on lipped cranks last year, just never got even a decent cranking bite. Fished a majority of my tournaments with no cranking rods out.
  8. I fish mine on braid. I would use it anytime you think you can get a topwater bite. They make so much commotion that I really don't think color matters much.
  9. I prefer the floating model, it seems to glide better and a wounded bluegill floundering on the surface is too much for them to take it seems.
  10. Moving water will actually work the bait for you a little bit. I fish them in outlet current and once it gets to the right depth I don't have to so much but watch for a bite.
  11. The best flipping bait/colors around here. Caught a lot of fish and won a lot of money with them. Nothing imitates a bluegill like a lime-purple passion pit boss with the tail dipped in chartreuse and pitchedinto the willows. I've tried lots of others, nothing has come close. I'm going to keep buying them up while I can get them for normal price.
  12. Need to order some Mend-it too. I now regret all those baits I've tossed that still had a fish or two left in them.
  13. Elephants eat peanuts and big fish eat a Ned rig. I've caught largemouth over 6, smallmouth to almost 5 pounds, channel cats over 10, and flatheads over 20 on a Ned. It looks so helpless that fish of all sizes can't help but eat it.
  14. I saw him fighting that glove for it seemed like half an hour. Cold weather certainly brings a whole new set of obstacles.
  15. Just scored 15 bags of Lime-purple passion and 18 bags of sapphire blue. At least I'll get through this year.
  16. CU 200 should be the old school greenies. If they're in good shape that's not a bad price imo.
  17. I like round bend on baits fish tend to slap at, jerkbaits and topwater. Those baits get Owner ST 36s. Cranks and traps that they usually get a bit better I use EWG like Mustad or Eagle Claw Fletcher Shryock series hooks.
  18. Are you planning on pouring and everything or just tying? I'm pretty confidentit will be cheaper to just buy what you need in a custom order from Seiberts until you decide you really want to get into jig fishing. I have thousands of dollars invested into my bait building supplies.
  19. "It's was freezing out", Wearing a t shirt and jeans. ? First keeper of the year on a magnum finesse worm and a new jighead I'm working on.
  20. Ben was going up stairs without the boot without even a sign of a limp. As bad as the Chiefs run D is, it might not even matter if all he can do it turn and give the ball to Bell. The Chiefs D is worse and more banged up than it was during the beat down in the first meeting. I'm betting it's not even close this time either.
  21. Mines already in the recycling bin.
  22. Fingernails or pliers if I can't get them open.
  23. I'd be really surprised if that wasn't a pike. Too bad it completely missed the bait and then took of.
  24. I've met them both, KVD.
  25. When I think soft plastic swimbait, I'm thinking a Hudd or line thru Savage Gear that weigh 2-4+ ounces ? I like to throw those sized baits on a spinning rod with a braid/leader combo.
