  1. Zebra Mussels are the main reason for me. You'll pull your hair out fishing a shakyhead in them and they're in all the smallmouth lakes, but not all the largemouth lakes. Trust me, try to fish one at Melvern, it's easier to just take it out of your tacklebox and throw it straight into the lake than trying to fish it.
  2. I'm sure most people who know what that is probably do.
  3. Mine performed well in very poor conditions a couple weeks ago. I'll be getting it out again in the next couple days.
  4. I don't think that area is open to hunting? I thought it was just in the river. That's a poor setup anyways, should have been in the very back of that cove where it's marshy.

    Welcome!
  8. He's one of my favorites. I bet he's a hoot to fish with.
  9. A BPS gift card is the only fishing related thing I got. I gave up on asking for fishing gear awhile ago.
  10. Netbait T mac and C mac.
  11. I bought an All Star 6' 10" spinnerbait rod for $20 a few days ago. Several other KC area members stocked up on them after I tipped them off.
  12. There's no way to get the same action out of a Ned rig when a skirt is added. I've done well with 2/3 of a stick worm as a trailer on a finesse jig.
  13. Awesome! What did you get her on?
  14. If I could only have one it would be a Hard Candy Menace.
  15. These were a favorite of mine early in my fishing career. I recently rediscovered them and plan on introducing them to some smallmouththis summer.
  16. Can't really think of any popular ones I haven't used. I don't use much from Rapala, including the very popular DT line. I don't use Megabass jerkbaits despite being a jerkbait junky.
  17. I pour mine and prefer either a collared worm nose or a darter head. The hook I choose depends on the bait I'm planning on using.
  18. I own 6 of them, 3 90s and 3 130s. They catch big fish, little fish, and numbers of fish. T1000, Sooner, Monkey Butt, Shad, and Bone are all good choices. They're topwaters, chances of losing them is slim so it should negate the price, but I buy $100 swimbaits so a Whopper Plopper price tag doesn't bother me.
  19. Little Cleo, micro jig under a bobber, and a Ned rig.
  20. Took 15 minutes out from shopping and hit the only open water in the area, an outlet below a lake, and even that was mostly frozen. Using a 5/8oz jigging spoon, quite possibly my last fish of the year.
