Yesterday we had early xmas with my family and I got some strike king crappie lures and some spinnerbaits.  My girlfriend gave me an early present of a bbz baby shad and 6th sense cloud crankbait.

 

Cant wait to see what i get today after work.

Nothing associated with fishing but a beautiful dress shirt; new jeans; a super tie; sox; new cell phone holder for use in mywife's car to keep seeing WAZE easier; Killing the Rising Sun book on tape; and a sensational sweater.

 

All in all, a great Christmas.

 

But wait? What about fishing stuff? Well, my secretary got me a $50 BPS gift card so I am cocked and loaded to hit BPS for the January sale.

Some DOA jig heads , dome DOA CAL Shads and a Flambeau creel bag . The bag is not for fishing but for metal detecting  or as I refer to it "Dirt Fishing" .

My girlfriend got me a new Abu Garcia  orra sx left handed real with 20# braid spider wire and a Abu Garcia vendetta 7' medium heavy fast Rod to match it.

As far as fishing stuff my daughter got me a Strike King 6XD in sexy shad, a BassPro bottle of reel oil, Berkley gloves, some Mann's 9" motor oil colored Jelly Worms, and a pack of Strike King Rage Craws in Junebug color. 

 

She said there was some still coming that they were on backorder. 

 

I got myself a few Siebert Outdoors jigs ordered. Also just a few days ago got myself a new H2O rod. 

 

Chocolate...and lots and lots of good food. I started a great job about a month ago so Christmas came early for me this year.  Just waiting for family to come over so that we can open up more presents and enjoy a cold lunch together...it's about family and friends for me more than the gifts.

Fishing related, my wife got me a Lews spinning reel and my daughter got me a Lews spinning rod to put it on.

No fishing related gifts.  Got a great Coca-Cola holiday scene(polar bear) stocking cap, a board game called Code my daughter and I used play together when she was young so we can do that together again.  I was hoping for some nice big candles but not this year.  I like burning candles at night while I watch TV or read.

I got a Kast King rod rack, which is pretty nice. Also a clam rod locker for ice fishing.

Ford F-150.  I got a new boat last Christmas and a truck this time.  Pretty good...

Wife got me a 50 buck tackle warehouse giftcard and her dad got me 50 buck giftcard for cabelas...so im set. Haha

Brother in law got me a three month subscription to MTB Pro, wife got me some lures for my stocking (2 spinner baits and some drop shot worms), and my brother got me a Diawa Tatula CT. 

 

Going to to have to go rod hunting now and pick up a couple more trays for the stuff I'll be getting from MTB.

That said, what I'm most excited for is what my wife's grandfather gave me: 

 

Some very old lures(the one up top is at least 40 years old) that I intend to use. The bottom lure appears to be what could've been a buzzbait before the current buzzbait was engineered. He doesn't get to fish much anymore due to his age(mid to late 80s). Initially, I wanted to just make a shadow box display of them; however, I think I'll try my hardest in 2017 to catch a fish on each lure, snap a pic, and then give him an album or stitched photo of all the pictures. 

 

Each lure shall be retired in his legacy.
