Coming up to a waypoint
My previous boat, center console, I had a bow mount trolling motor. I used it a lot. The boat I have now cannot have a bow mount trolling motor so I anchor. Works for me.

what is the furthest you drive to catch bass. long distance haulers?
I live between Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie. Roughly a 30 minute drive to either. Charleston Lake is a 7 hour drive where I vacation.

$500 fish finder suggestions
I bought a Raymarine Dragonfly 7. It came with Navionics, sonar, downview, temperature. It works very well for me. I fish Lake St. Clair, Lake Erie, St. Clair River and Charleston Lake and the downview is always clear.

Fishmas Gifts 2019
I got some warm harnesses, Strike King spoons and a landing net

What do you have to force yourself to do in 2020?
I have to learn to use the tackle I have instead of buying more. I have to learn to use my baitcaster better so I get less backlashes. And lastly... I have to learn to accept that there are some poor lost souls that do not like fishing.

What's on your fishing Christmas list?

Was there a difference?
For me fishing has changed a lot since the mid-sixties. Better reels, rods, tackle choices. TV shows and internet sites provide more educated guesses. Catching, unfortunately, has remained exactly the same. I keep telling myself that someday I will catch a 3 pound Smallmouth or 4 pound Walleye ?
