  1. I use them occasionally. For me it depends which I can get cheaper.
  2. Dark colored jig or bladed jig. A big single Colorado bladed spinnerbait, a rattling squarebill, or rattle trap.
  3. I use them about anytime other than in weeds. It's one of my favorite ways to present a soft plastic.
  4. Stack have been running every day since the end of summer and fishing wad good last Wednesday.
  5. Birds are a good sign of life for sure. It doesn't always equal fish though. I had birds diving hard last time I was out. I was catching fish fast but they were smaller than I'd like so I checked out the area the birds were in. There was nothing but huge balls of 2" shad and the adage "Don't leave fish to find fish", jumped to the front of my brain.
  6. Pretty sure that's what they do with everything they get out of Port-o-Potties.
  7. I'mnot a big fan of the Spro rat, but the Slammer is outstanding. I don't know what the difference is, other than it just flat out catches fish. It looks like a big injured bait fish limping along the surface and they just can't stand it. There's a golden shiner color that I bet would be great in Florida.
  8. I like the braid with a leader option, I'm from the same area as Ned so wind is a way of life that you just learn to deal with. I tried Yo Zuri and hated it, worse memory I've ever dealt with on my spinning reels. Maybe it was a bad spool, but I won't be buying another spool to find out. If you want to try mono, try some Seaguar Senshi. I have some on one of my spinning reels and have had good luck with it.
  9. I have several of the Pflueger XTs and really like them. I've never held the Shimano and have no desire to. All my spinning reels use to be Shimano until I went to Pflueger.
  10. T1000 and Sooner have been best for smallies for me. Some days it doesn't matter but I've seen them.be very color selective also.
  11. I couldn't find anything except one guide had a little bump of epoxy, so I'm guessing they replaces a guide. They still have the wrapper on the handles and look brand new. Yes they are from FFO. I'm planning on using this for my bladed jigs. It's very light and feels right for then so I have pretty high hopes.
  12. I know lots of guys that like them, and at $16.50 apiece, I couldn't pass them up. Great kayak rods if nothing else.
  13. Be stealthy, big bass in farm ponds are sensitive to their surroundings. Most of my big pond bass have been on buzxbaits, spinnerbaits, 10" worm, and rattle traps. The common thought of upsizing baits to catch biggerfish hasn't worked well for me in ponds.
  14. 2 7' MH shocks 2 7.1 Supreme XT baitcasters 1 Hammer rods 6' 9" H that smalljaw67 convinced me I needed for my bladed jigs.
  15. The Shakyheads are probably 1/4 or 3/16. The bladed jig is 3/8oz.
  16. It's tricky but I like to give the fish a chance. Or maybe it's 20 and my phone just doesn't like typing 20.
  17. Yeah that was me. I did some research and tried to come up with some stuff you were wanting and mixed in sone personal favorites and some stuff you can never have to much of.
  18. I have that rod, best frog rod I've ever had.
  19. I have 6 of them now, 3 of the 90s and 3 130s, not by accident. The 90 is a bit temperamental, it likes to run under waves and dive at the startof the retrieve, but it was irresistible for the smallies this summer. I fished mine on a 7' MH with a 7.1 reel and 2lb braid. Hold the rod tip high and reel as soon as it touches the water and it stayed on the surface well. Mono works but it's a little harder to keep it up.
  20. Lucky Craft pointer 78 Lucky Craft Slender Pointer 97MR Luck E Strike STX Buzz's Baits custom 110s
  21. I use it like hybrid jerk/crank. I have been having good luck with the Duo Realis SHAD62DR lately. Priceda little bit higher than a shad rap, but it's plastic and has a weight transfer system that allows for much easier casting than the shad rap. It comes in a great selection of colors too.
  22. They carry lots of the Ethos rods in store that they don't list online for some reason.
  23. You must be looking online. I own 2 6' 8" Ethos spinning rods.
