Uh... Yep, The Ned Rig Is Awesome
The head and hook look a little big and the rig doesn't work as well with regular stick worms but I'm sure it will still catch fish.

When you say Wilson you don't mean the reservoir do you?

Uh... Yep, The Ned Rig Is Awesome
It sits flush with the head and picks up fewer debris and doesn't hang as often. A lighter ball head ect. will work, but the mushroom head is the best option. The Elaztech baits are another key to this rig. It doesn't look like it does much, but it actually has quite a bit of very subtle action.

Overgrown Pond
Don't get rid of them, fish them! If you get rid of the lily pads, the big bass will likely go with them.

Structure
Fish a C rig or heavy jig and pay close attention to everything you're feeling with your bait. You can even use a heavy bank sinker so you don't risk losing a bait/rig, but then you might miss the chance to catch a fish too.

How Quick Are You To Change It Up?
Our lakes lack the cover, structure, and fish populations to be able to really stick to one pattern most of the time, so I end up junk fishing a majority of the time. I'll keep a bunch of rods out and sometimes will pick up a rod to make just one or two cast before I switch to something else.

Probably the same kind of people that complain about us hurting the fish when we hook them I've heard there's been some nice fish, largemouth and smallmouth being caught out there this spring, makes me miss fishing it a little.- Question About Ned Rig
Ned Kehde from Lawrence, KS. He didn't name the rig, nor does he take any credit for "inventing" it. He has, however, spent an incredible amount of time perfecting it and keeping extremely detailed logs of his exploits and sharing them freely on his blog. It was because of this that folks started calling it a Ned rig, and it just stuck. Ned himself doesn't like the name, but it's not going away at this point.- Chatterbait Recommendations.
Subtle details make a huge difference. The blade shape/angle will alter the vibration, speed you can fish the bait at, and the depth it wants to run. Some will have better components, blades attached directly to the eye VS blades attached by a split ring, head shape will affect how the bait moves. The quality of the hook, skirt, and components are all going to come into play as well. I've been building my own for quite awhile and have fished a bunch of different ones prior to that trying to find on that I really liked. I found all of them that I tried had their little quirks and all have very distinguishable differences.- Focus
I just go fishing. If I get caught up in the whole "I'm in a tournament", thing I tend to spin out. If I just go fishing and do what I'd do if I was just out there fun fishing with a buddy I do much better.- Morning Buzzbait..
Flat calm to a slight chop seems to be the best wind for a buzzbait for me.- Best Rod Action For Chatterbait (& Spinnerbait)

I can skip them with my Curados, B, E, or I. I only do it if I have to though, I'd much rather skip with spinning gear.- Pouring Jigs
Do you flux your lead and do you put Drop Out on your molds? Those two things helped my pouring go much smoother.- Universal Line For Spinnerbaits And Chatterbaits

I met KVD at the Oakley Big Bass Tour at Table Rock a few years ago. Talked to him for awhile and he signed an Oakley hat and gave it to me. Working at Cabela's I got to meet Jay Yelas, Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston, and my favorite of all Denny Brauer.- Plastic Success
I make my own baits because I didn't like what I could find in stores. Now I don't even own a store bought bait that I can make myself. I've won tournaments with them and plan to continue to do so- Two Quick Questions About Elaztech
They contain salt so yes they will rust a hook. I have used Megastrike on them and it worked fine. If you use any of their baits like the Turbo CrawZ where the legs get stuck together, putting some Megastrike on them will help prevent them from sticking together.- Hello For Missouri!
