Astronaut Training
I hit a buddy with a little bass night fishing once. Didn't realize that the fish was cruising back to the boat right under the surface with my jig. On the other hand, he should probably be glad it was the fish and not just my jig.

Owl Tries To Steal Frog Lure
I caught an owl on a jitterbug night fishing several years ago, it's a heck of a fight to get one in.

Starting My New Job Today!
I wish I could go back to my days when I had nothing to pay for and save a bunch of money. It's hard to do but if you can control yourself you can really sock some money away and make it so much easier on yourself when you move out on your own. Congrats on your first job! My first job was mowing 20 acres around a private lake for $35 when I was 13 Crazy to think I've been a working stiff for 15 years already.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I fished La Cygne Monday, Melvern Tuesday. Had fun at both. La Cygne was way better than I'd hoped. Had to get myself pumped up to fish on the way down there, wasn't looking forward to it. They changed my mind fast, had 5 in the boat in the first 30 minutes and kept catching them pretty good all over. Any of you guys going to be there Thursday night, a chartreuse shad or threadfin shad H2O CRS, virgo blue YUM wooly bug, red bug Zoom magnum finesse worm, or a black and blue Ned were all catching fish. I should have had 3 keepers but quick released 2 at the boat, both bigger than the one I caught. Lost one on the Deps, one on a KVD 8.0, almost the exact same spot 3 hours apart. Finally hooked and held a good one on the H2O, 5lbs 6ozs. Managed to get a fish on the Deps right after that, poor little guy got it bad from my adrenaline rush I still had going from the big fish. Melvern was a lot of fun. Took awhile to figure them out but once we did we put the hurt on them. Jon had one spot we did good on a jerkbait and that was pretty much it. I started working a bone super spook jr and they were liking that. Anywhere we could get onto a bank the wind was blowing into just inside of main lake pockets they were loaded up. Ned rig and a tube did well on those spots also. I had 2 that were over 18" and Jon jumped one off at the boat that was for sure a third keeper.

Help Id'ing Fish?
The tooth patch is hit or miss. I've caught largemouth that had rough spots on their tongues. The bottom jaw extended past the back of the eye is the method I usually go with.

Fish-Catching Method For My Girlfriend
The Ned is an equalizer. You tie one on for a beginner and end up spending all your time unhooking their fish. My wife beat me bad one time with a Ned, happened to be the year I decided to keep track of how many bass I was catching with a fish clicker. She fished for 2 hours before she got warn out and laid down on the back deck to take a nap. I looked at my fish counter and had caught 60 something bass in 2 hours and I had unhooked way more of her fish than I had my own. A wacky rig is a great option as well, it's my wife's second favorite technique.

Snakes Climb In The Boat
I've had several snakes try to climb into my boat. A telescoping lure retriever makes a good snake pole for redirecting them though. I like snakes and try not to harm them unless I have to like most other animals.

Are You Fishing Your Dream Combo?
I couldn't afford to own my dream combo, but I've good lots of nice stuff that keeps me happy.

Current River Smallmouth
I've never done the Current but I've been on the Elk several times, it's a blast. I like the small walking baits in faster moving water and small finesse worms or craws on a shakyhead in slower moving water. Flukes can be good as well and I'd certainly try a Ned rig also.

Anyone Not Care About There Combos Appearance Or Colors?
If it matches it's a bonus, but not something I'm concerned about. I've got a bunch of dark green Curados on cobalt blue LTBs, not pretty but they fish nice

Name This Bait!
A picture would help a ton or at least a little bit of a description of the bait. There's a few different craw baits out there.

What Time Of Year Do You Expect To Catch The Biggest Stringer ?
Mine have almost always been in the early months from January through May with my biggest 5 fish stringer (other than Mexico), coming in February at one of the local power plant lakes at 30lbs 2ozs. I was literally dink dropping 5 pounders that day

Dream Diy Hunt
I haven't seen any fall off in the deer hunting. I'm in the NE part of the state where the population is the thickest and the deer grow the biggest though.

Super Glue Not Holding Trailer On
Lock Tite Gel is what I use. You have to hold it for about 30 seconds to a minute but it's solid after that. Regular superglue just didn't work very well for me.
