  1. At least 6 boats. Wind is out of a good direction for out there, lots of wind breaks.
  2. Well this is circling the drain. LOCKDOWN!!
  3. I had to use the special tool just to get them on, still lost the worm and the O ring almost every time using a 1/0 Gamakatsu wide gap finesse hook.
  4. For Norfolk and Bull you'll want a fluoro leader for sure. I've converted most of my spinning reels to braid/leader setup, it was a great decision. Your rod will be fine. I've got braid on rods from Legend Tournaments to Ethos, none of them are damaged/effected by the braid.
  5. Lots of the fish I've been posting pictures of lately were caught on jerkbaits painted by Doc-Drew, I'd highly suggest him!
  6. This is the setup I have with my trolling motor transducer with my 93SV and it works very well and was very inexpensive and easy to mount.
  7. My father in law has one on his V bottom, it's a nice troller.
  8. I tried the first run several years ago, it was awful. So stiff I wouldn't have used it for catfish. I've heard the new stuff is much better, but I'll wait for some reviews before I'd try it again.
  9. Preseason?? That would mean I'd have to stop fishing though
  10. I tie a pink/chartreuse bladed jig that usually gets some jokes when I tie it on. The jokes and laughing gets real quiet real quick when stuff like this starts happening. I really like the looks of that rod. Thinking my wife needs a new, pink rod to go with her Avid Pearl she uses now.
  11. I'd really like one for my wife as well. She has an Avid Pearl as her only rod right now, but she's going to fish some weeknight tournaments with me and will need another, little heavier rod to do that.
  12. I have a few BBB plastics and like them pretty well.
  13. So which one is you?
  14. It's almost hard not to walk a spook or super spook Jr if you try at all.
  15. I growl at them usually. That or they get the "There she wasn't/isn't" or "son of a!" you can tell how rough of a day it has been on whether I finish that one or just leave it at that.

Like the last post said, both good baits, but not meant to be fished quite the same. The Hudd is great for very slow retrieves while the Savage Gear you're going to have to fish a little faster, unless you get the floater of course. I have a few 6" and 8" Savage Gears in different sink rates, a couple top hook 6" Hudds, weedless 6" Hudds, top hook 68's, and as of yesterday, a weedless 68. The only one I'm not really a fan of is the 6" top hook Hudd.
  17. It's not a true mono but handles very similar. Sunline Defier Armilo nylon line is a great line that I've been using for jigs with great success.
  18. For deep cranks the 7' 8" Big Crankster St. Croix Mojo is a great rod.
  19. Any particular reason you're set on the Cobra head? Looks like a great jighead, doesn't appear to be much different than a Arky.
  20. That thump is why the jig is my favorite bait to fish. Guys look at me crazy when I tell them I'd rather fish a jig over topwater, but it's the truth.
  21. I didn't have a problem hooking fish, but I almost always lost the bait and O ring on the first fish So I not only got to lose a Senko every fish, I got to lose an O ring too! I don't use them anymore.
  22. Suspending jerkbait, weighless trick worm, float and fly.
  23. Cabins are booked! 2 large Cabins at Riverview so we should have plenty of room.
