Anything Keitech if I'm putting it on a jighead, Electric Shad is my favorite color. I really like the Havoc Sick Fish if it's going on a swimbait hook, New Penny gets the nod in the color department.

Eureka must be a much nicer town than Rogers. It's $40 a night for a hotel in Rogers, $60 on up in Eureka? The more I look around the more I don't think there's any way we're going to do better than Spider Creek in price, location, and amenities. The cabins have full kitchens so we can cook if we want to save some money that way and full fridges for plenty of cold drinks. They're going to cost about the same per person as a cheaper hotel, only they appear to be much nicer. It's 1.8 miles to the closest ramp on Beaver from Spider Creek, and it's only about 15 minutes to Eureka if we want to go into town for a drink or something to eat. I'd say if you want to swing through there and look just to make sure there's no fancy camera work going on in the pictures, and that we're going to be able to park 5 trucks and boats, I think that's going to be the best route that I can see. Anyone else feel free to toss out any suggestions though.

I agree about the paint being the biggest issue right now. Just look at the picture I put at the top of the page. Both are V38 warts, but anyone can tell there's a big difference in probably not just the color, but also the texture of the paint. The top looks like a matte finish while the old one on the bottom is glossy. That top one was from when they first reintroduced the warts, I don't think I've ever caught anything other than a big trout on it. These new ones have a glossy finish again and have been much better producers for me.

Just because the line holds doesn't mean their mouths or the hook will. They use pretty small hooks because a lot of big fish are wary and smart, so a lot of pressure will easily bend a hook.

I get as tired of being stuck in the house as my dog does, so we go for drives sometimes, usually to one or a couple of the local lakes. I'll always let her get her "window time", in once the truck gets warmed up so I don't freeze myself. I don't know how she sticks her head out the window when it's that cold out but she loves it.

Yes, it was at Hazel. She was big enough to tow my friends 16' Lowe Big Jon a considerable distance before she straightened a 5/0 Mustad Ultra bite hook. It seems the population out there has exploded since the introduction of the lily pads. That lake could be completely insane if all those little fish start to grow up as big as all the older fish in that lake, 20, 25, even 30 pound bags wouldn't be out of the question.

No, some have painted bills like the one in my first picture. I'm not 100% sure on the cupped bills but they will all have the wiggle wart painted on the bottom of the bill unless they're custom painted, then it's anyone's guess. I believe I remember hearing that some of the very old warts have a flat bill and the line tie is down in a small indention but I could be imagining that.

Unless you're wanting to fish a very finesse A-rig or a very light single jighead, I'd go with the 5".

Good to hear man. Kids are tough. My son was sick bad for almost a month and he was still playing and laughing every day almost like nothing was wrong.

Biggest bass I've ever seen swimming in the wild was in a small, public lake in NE Missouri, bigger than anything I saw while I was in Mexico either time by a couple pounds for sure and maybe pushing state record size. The lakes in Missouri put the lakes in Kansas to shame.

I got both my new 93SVs installed Friday, just need a chance to get them out and see how they work on the water!

Love me some Hank III. He does get pretty wild, but man he can bring it back down and do it a lot like his dad and granddad did.

We had a member on here that used to have a picture of a bass that had done almost the same thing, but with an 8" Huddleston that it couldn't even begin to get all the way in it's mouth. Probably one of my favorite avatar pictures I've seen.

Some big walleye headshakes going through that rod during the fight! I catch more walleye on suspending jerkbaits each spring than on anything else. Rattle traps and 3" Gulp minnows on a jighead account for a bunch also.
