Question About Hook Size On Hudd 68
I made the mistake of putting a belly hook on one of mine. I got to make about 10 cast with it before that belly treble snagged up on a log and I lost it. One of the only 2 swimbaits I've lost since I started fishing them a few years ago. I have yet to catch a fish on a 6" Hudd of any variation that a stinger hook was needed. They always end up looking like this;

Tackle Box/bag
I bring a Cabela's super magnum with hardbaits and terminal tackle, 7 worm binders that are all busting at the seams, and a 16x12x10 Rubbermaid tote that I drilled holes in the top of and made wire hangers on for my swimbaits that has 30-40 6" to 9" swimbaits hanging in it. I can't wait until I own a boat where I can store all that stuff so I can stop bringing all those bags.

Cabelas Super Magnum Bag For A Co-Angler
I use the super magnum for my hard baits and terminal tackle and a little bit of my soft plastics, no way I'd bring it as a co-angler in a draw tournament without talking to my boater first. The bag I normally used as a co-angler carried 6 3700 boxes and a few plastics in 3 side pockets, I'd usually bring one big worm binder full of plastics too. Some guys are even going to see that as too much tackle but I almost had full blown panic attacks trying to pare my gear down that far sometimes so it was the best I could do.

Size Of Jerkbait.....matter?
We don't have many 4+ pound fish either, but a 12 incher has no problem handling a 5" baitfish, and they react accordingly to the 120 Duo jerkbait.

Ever Break A Rod -- How?
I've broken several, most were my fault. I had a All Star flipping stick that blew up on the hookset one of the first times I used it, never seen a rod break in 4 places on a hookset like that. Had a Carrot Stick just fold in half while I was yo-yoing a trap, nothing but the resistance from the bait made it break. I've broke at least 4 rods swinging fish in. Last summer I cut 2" off the tip of my St. Croix Legend Tournament light flipping rod with my buddies truck door

with the wind they're forecasting tomorrow you won't be able to fish slow enough in the cold water you might be lucky if they even let you on.

Spro "mike Mcclelland" Rkcrawler 55 Crankbait
I picked up 3 today, headed to the lake in the morning. Not a good crankbait lake but going to give it a test run anyways

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I got a beat down by a whole troop of monkeys today! Actually only 1 of the reels, the Deps, and 3 of the rock crawlers are mine. I picked 1 rock crawler up for a buddy and the other 2 reels are my Christmas presents to 2 of my fishing buddies.

Maintenance?
Plus it's not a good feeling after you put them back together and have spare parts left over.

Big Trout
What a monster! I don't understand why he was able to keep the fish long enough to get a weight and photo but not wait until someone could bring certified scales? If he had no intention of keeping it, why couldn't he keep it in a livewell or tank until it could be weighed? Just wondering out loud.

When To Use Spincast Over Baitcast?
Spinning reels are often called spincasters, just like baitcasters are sometimes called closed faced reels. Maybe the OP can shine some light on which type he actually meant?

Fishing With Same Lure?
I normally like to try to fish something different than whoever I'm fishing with unless we really have them dialed in. Even then I like to try to vary my retrieve or color of my bait a little bit.

What Made You Choose You're Username?
I actually use bluebasser86 on a few other forums so that was the first one I went with here. I've run into very few other guys named Clayton though and you're the first one born the same year as I was.

When To Use Spincast Over Baitcast?
I use spinning gear when I need to use lighter lines or lighter lures.

Fishing Alone
I like fishing alone sometimes because I can try something that I'm not sure is going to work without having to worry about someone else being disappointed if we don't catch fish. I guess I'm not really ever completely alone, I always have my dog with me.

Jack Of All Trades Or A Specialist ?
In this area, you almost have to be a junk fisherman. We don't have the bass populations to really be a specialist, you just have to catch fish however you can at that moment. I have my preferred ways to do it, but I'll do whatever to catch fish.

Pflueger "president" Spinning Vs Pflueger "supreme" Spinning
I've owned/own both, the price difference isn't worth it to me. If you can get one of the old supremes on sale though, I would buy it.
