Lake Of The Ozarks
We caught a lot of solid keepers in the river last time I fished down there, but nothing that would win you much at BBB. The biggest fish I've seen at LOZ was by PB2 but I've never gone much further down the lake than that.

What Pound Test Line Should I Use For Pitching Docks?
It's the cheapskate answer but it's one of those things that you have to let the conditions dictate. I've fished docks with 8lb fluoro, and I've flipped them with 65lb braid, all depends on the situation. A majority of the time I'm fishing 15-20 pound fluoro though so I'd say you're right in the ballpark.

Rough Day
Try a San Diego Jam instead of Palomar with flouro.

January Peacock Bassin
How far south in Florida does a guy have to go to get into some peas? My wife wants to go to Florida in May for our 5 year anniversary and I'm really thinking I'm going to have to get us a day to go try to catch some of those, a bucket list fish for me for sure!

A Day For Firsts
Stripers are a blast. I wouldn't fish for bass nearly as often if we had them around here.

- First Time Jigs
Don't get into it if you think you're going to be saving money right away, especially if you're planning on pouring your own and going to have to buy your lead. Buying unpainted or painted jigheads and tying your own is a good way to go though. The ability to customize the colors you want is really nice and part of what drew me to it at first. There's some good articles and videos on here about building your own jigs. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/hand_made_tackle.html http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-tie-jigs.html- Pricing Out The Average Angler?
I like the idea of the expensive toys, but I can't afford them so I don't buy them. Every once in awhile I'll splurge on a $20+ crank or jerkbait or a $70+ swimbait, but only when I have the extra cash to spend on it.- Rattle Or No Rattle?
I feel like the head clicking through the rocks is probably all the noise needed and a little more natural sounding than a jig with rattle chambers. I do use rattles in dirty water though and sometimes it seems to be a big factor in whether I'm getting bit or not.- Winter Fishing And Plastic Worms - Why The Disrespect?
A lot of our lakes get filled up with leaves and a thin layer of slimy moss on the bottom during the winter time, so dragging a plastic bait is a waste of time. In the places that aren't like that it's extremely effective though. Just last Friday, kanasbassfisher08 and I tore them up dragging beaver baits on homemade swinging football heads, they wouldn't hardly touch a hard bait. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/149804-good-day-on-a-powerplant-lake/- Facebook Users

I don't like the Pats, but a deflated ball didn't account for that 45-7 beat down last night.- The Road To The Super Bowl
Just remember, the Kansas City Chiefs beat New England 41-14 If the Chiefs can beat them, anyone can, especially considering those same Chiefs also beat the Seahawks and then lost to the Raiders! I'm hoping sometime in my lifetime they'll put together a decent season, hasn't happened yet.- Good Day On A Powerplant Lake
Got to love the power plants in the winter time! We started really slow that morning, just the first 2 bass off the rocky part of the outlet where they're usually piled up. A few white bass and a couple more largemouth off the shallow side before we were off to a spot that I'd talked about on the way down there. Normally during the winter there if you get a couple good days of wind blowing towards this spot the fish stack up, and they were there for us. Almost all of our bass were caught dragging my homemade swinging football heads with beaver baits on them, mainly the Zman Palmetto Bug, Netbait B bug, or KVD Rodent. We caught way more white bass than the video shows on traps and several on my homemade bladed jigs. A few bass fell for the RES and one on the bladed jig as well. We had that little section to ourselves except for the pair of bald eagles there were nesting in a big, dead tree like they have for several years now. A couple times they looked like they might try to steal our fish while we were fighting them. I also caught a dozen crappie in the 14" range off of one tree. It was a great first outing of 2015! The tree starting at 7:37 kicked our butts! I think we got broke off by 6 or 7 fish on that one tree. That lake has zebra mussels so I'm think that tree might have an infestation on it's roots because that was the only tree either of us broke off on all day.- Misc. Pond Fishing

I've had good luck with craiglist or the local free ad papers. Some people sell them on Ebay, just make sure to set a minimum bid. Sites like boattrader get searched a lot, that's the main place I've been looking for one at anyways- I Wanna Catch A Salt Water Fish
