Your Tackle Short List
Just make sure you do the modification to the joint to make them swim better. I'd like to add the Spro Rat to my list along with the Hudd Gill

Changing Out Hooks On Spoons
What size Cleo? I use a #8 or #6 Owner ST36 on the 1/8oz for trout.

Bass Pro Goretex Bibs And Academy H2O Bibs
I have had the 100mph suit for a few years now. Knowing now what I didn't know then, I would have saved my money and bought the H2O suit. The zippers suck and I've had problems with the stitching on both suits (had to return the first one because my cuff of one of the sleeves had almost fallen off). It's not terrible and I'm harder on it than most, but for the money I paid for it I have not been overly impressed.

Poor Luck With Super Fluke?
Although I find fishing them extremely boring, I can't argue with their effectiveness.

Show your ride...
I watched all the videos I could find on several boats during my search. The VLO really impressed me with all of it's standard features and the layout of the boat, and it's even better in person

My New Ride!
It was all I could do to keep her from jumping into the back of it in the driveway yesterday when I took the cover off to take pictures. I'm sure she'll love laying on carpet instead of the rubber restaurant floor mats I had in the bottom of my old aluminum.

Siebert's Has A New Jig Color
It's my namesake color, Bluebasser86 in the Storm Series. It's available in a few different head styles and a variety of sizes. It has been a killer color for me in my homemade jigs, but they don't look nearly as pretty as Siebert's baits do!

Siebert's Has A New Jig Color
If you click on the picture on his website it magnifies it. If that doesn't work you can right click and open the picture in a new tab to make it even bigger.

Lizard Questions
I don't see enough difference between a lizard and a brush hog style bait to warrant carrying both, and the brush hog wins out hands down. I do use them pond fishing in the spring fairly often though, at least until I use up the ones I have.

What Line Do You Use For Flukes?
10lb braid with a fluoro leader, usually 8 or 10 pound.

Lucky Strike Stx Jerkbait
I fish the STX a ton on 10lb mono and have great success with it. I did get one that the ball was stuck in the back of the bait so it suspended tail straight down but that's 1 bad one out of several dozen baits. It doesn't have near the erratic action that a pointer does, but it's not supposed to either. It's more of a roll and slither forward than a sharp slash or cutting that the pointer does. If you're looking for a bait that has that cutting action that is a little more affordable I'd probably be looking at the Rapala Xrap.

Back Reeling
I always set my drag below breaking strain of my line so if I can't get the anti reverse turned off fast enough my drag will give line still. I understand that the drags are much better than they used to be, I'm just much more in control of the fish when I back reel than I feel with the drag.

Changing Treble Hooks
If they have good hooks I don't but very few baits have good stock hooks IMO. I change mine out with Owner ST 36s.

My New Ride!
Thanks guys! Hopefully taking it for a short trip in the morning if I don't get stuck working OT, which it's looking like I might . This is my first real, nice bass boat and I couldn't be happier with the one I found. Still hard to believe when I look outside and see it sitting in the driveway. I ordered a pair of Garmin 93sv side imaging/down scan/mapping units for it today that will hopefully be here this week because that's one of the only places it's really lacking. Also want to get a Hot Foot installed to make running a lot easier. Other than that she is ready to roll! Any of you guys that are ever around the KC area or just feel like making a road trip to fish some really poor fishing lakes, you're more than welcome to ride along with me.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Made a last minute audible, went with a pair of 93SVs instead. Only $100 difference per unit for a 8" screen instead of a 6" screen, couldn't pass that up. Going to be sweet having side imaging, down imaging, and maps on a boat!

What Garmin did you get? I just ordered a pair of 74SVs for mine.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Chris has the 5" slow sink Bull Shad and that was his first fish on it but we watched a couple big largemouth chase it to the boat in a strip pit also. Not sure how much he likes it but I've seen him use it enough to guess he must like it fairly well. I have a 5" fast sink and a 6" slow sink. I like them, my biggest smallmouth of the year a couple years ago was on the 5" at Melvern.

Siebert's Has A New Jig Color
Well my options showed the new jig but my picture does not. Here is Siebert's actual new jig color, also in the Storm Series
