What Is Your Favorite Species Outside Of Bass And Why?
They'll bite lures if fished quickly too. Only thing I have yet to catch one on is a topwater. I caught 2 on a spinnerbait in the same day last winter. I catch tons of them on cranks and bladed jigs every year, and they almost swallow it sometimes. They can be really fun to fish for in clear water though. I've spent quite a few hot summer days sight fishing drum in shallow water with live craws and light line. They're spooky but you hook a big drum on a light action rod and 4 pound test you're in for a ride.

Major League Fishing
It's a cool format to watch, I wouldn't want to fish in one though. I guess it's more impressive to me when someone can get the biggest 5 instead of the most over 12".

The Flu This Year
I believe my work environment makes my immune system really kick it up a notch. I got the flu several years ago, when I got the flu shot. Haven't gotten the shot since, haven't had the flu since, knock on wood. I get those wonderful aurora migraines where I deal with temporary blindness, numbness in my hands and arms, nausea, and vomiting. I get those year round and it knocks me out for at least a couple days every time so it's kind of like a mini flu minus the temperature. I had one last week, I haven't puked that much in a long time.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
It's not going to be here yet by then unfortunately. I think Chris is planning on taking the day off so we can take his new camera to Wolf and try to do a short video on our baits. If he doesn't end up going I'm in though, I'm dying to get out again, almost literally with my dumb move last Thursday at La Cygne

Spro Aruku Shad, Red Eye Shads, Et Als.....
Xcaliber XRK50's and XR50's are about the only rattle baits I throw. I've got one in the Ghost color that's caught so many fish it doesn't hardly have any paint left on it.

Winter Numbers Compared To The Rest Of The Year
My numbers usually drop but we have special circumstances. Sometimes you find the massive winter congregations on the feed and you can catch crazy numbers of fish. The other situation is when the power plants are generating strong and the shad are spawning in the warm water and the fish are piled in gorging on them. We've had some triple digit days when the situations were right. Most days I'm pretty happy with 10-20 fish and a couple good quality fish. Winter time is big fish time for me though and 1 over 5 makes my day.

Lipless Cranks
Xcaliber XR50 and XRK50 in Ghost, Silver blue or black back, silver gold back, and Rayburn red are where it's at for me. The RES is a solid bait too but I've caught better quality fish on the Xcaliber, especially the XRK50 in Rayburn red. I like to rip them over grass, along weed edges, across points, windblown banks, anywhere bass are herding shad. I fish mine on a 7' MH/F with a 6.2:1 reel and 15lb Big Game most of the time.

Going to be a minute I'm afraid, the water is going to have to soften up before I can use them I doubt they perform very well as an ice fishing bait

Code Blue!
Yes, I bought the whole kit from them to make surr I had the right stuff. Make surr to read and follow the directions like I didn't the first time I tried to use it.

Code Blue!
http://www.tjstackle.com/psg.htm Yes I make all my own skirts and wire tie them to my baits.

P-Line C21
I used it in several sizes including 25lb in some nasty trees. I stuck a 5.5, played tug-of-war back and forth across a limb for several seconds before the fish wrapped up too tight to move. I ended up lifting a tree bigger than my boat off the bottom a couple feet until I was able to dunk my head and shoulders under the water and grab the fish. It has a lot of stretch, but it is a strong line and I've used the 20lb for smaller swimbaits with no problems.

Code Blue!
I use a powder paint air brush. Not really any cabin fever hear yet, the power plant lakes do a good job keeping that away

Review Of Pinnacle Primmus Xi Hs Hand-Tuned
I ordered it a couple months before I got my Pinnacle from the shop owner that carries my baits. He's just starting to carry Shimano rods and reels and needed a few more things to get some kind of bulk discount so he offered to sell me any Shimano reel for $20 over his cost. I couldn't pass up a NIB Curado IHG for under $150. I'm still waiting on that reel too unfortunately.

For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
I wouldn't bother. I was just there, you're bait is going to bounce if you cast at a good portion of the lake.

Questions About A Rod..
Buddy of mine uses the same rod for worms and finesse jigs. It does what he needs it to do.

Ideas For Upper Osage At Loz
I've fished Deer Creek a little bit. Had a tournament down there that launched from Warsaw a couple years ago. Deer Creek was the first place that gave me any kind of confidence as I boated the only 2 keeper sized fish in a full day of practice there. We ended up doing best in Turkey Creek and Spring Branch though. The guys that won it caught all their fish in White Branch on 10" worms. We caught all ours on spinnerbaits, although we had several that were really close on 10" worms and beaver style baits. The key for our fish was docks that had posts on them instead of floating docks. We could almost call our shots when we found those docks.

Electronics For A 8 Foot Boat?
I've got a Lowrance Mark 4 and Lowrance Mark 4 HDI on my johnboat. I really suggest the 4 HDI for a small boat, it's a nice little unit that's easy to use and read.

Is A Club Right For Me.
I learned a lot from fishing in a bass club. I started when I was 16 and thought I knew a lot about bass fishing, man was I wrong! I learned so much in such a short amount of time just by watching what my boater was doing that I was really able to be competitive after just a few tournaments. Ended up winning 2 that year and by the end of the year I was rookie of the year, backseater of the year, and 3rd place overall in the club.

What Brand Hooks.
I use mainly Owner and Gamakatsu trebles. Gotten to where I use the H2O EWGs for all my worm fishing. Plenty sharp and for $5 for a 20 pack it doesn't hurt when I lose one.
