im gonna give the alabama slammer a try ,i see it could be good but our lakes have way to many weeds to be throwin it in less than 15 ft so that will limit its use around here , this thing will probably end up bein a pike catcher in our lakes lol

you can call bass masters and have your membership number ready and they can tell you if you been selected or your on the waiting list or you can check for yourself on the bassmasters web site under tournaments plus all the info is on there as to where and when you have to be at meetings and stuff like that , but i would say you will get the info in the mail 4-6 weeks before tournament so check into it and get your place to stay lined up early im workin on that now

ok what am i in for ? anyone been a marshall chime in and kinda give me how the day goes (like when your suppose to be there in morning ,do they have special parking for marshalls,when and how do you know who your paired with stuff like that.do these guys come in to go to the bathroom or they pee in a jug like i do lol

i fish some tournaments on the days you dont finish in the top 3 are dissapointing but if i caught alot of fish and they just arent heavy enough i still consider it a good outting now when i dont catch crap and guys are weighting in 15 to 19 pound bags then it can become frustrating

when they are hard to catch go through a progression start at the top of water column and work to the bottom or the other way around

if ya want to catch a ton of those fish use a senko wacky style , now far as other worms texas rig a purple worm i like strait tails early in season and ribbon tail after that, with a 3/16 ounce tungsten bullet head , cast it out let it set on bottom for a min then there are 3 favorite things i like to do one is turn real hand fast one revloution at a time with a 3-5 second pause in between ,also cast it out once it hits the bottom i keep my rod tip up between 10-12 and shake it from the 10 to the 12 position then pause 3-5 seconds and do it again for half the distance of the cast then reel it in and do it all over the last one is cast let it set on bottom for 3-5 seconds then very slowly reel it in tryin to stay in contact with the bottom at all times if ya can , now color like other guys said dark water purple s, blues, black ,clear water the pumpkin anything and browns

i have to laugh when i see these guys on tv fish there aint a cottage in site nothin but trees and banks , tell them elite guys to fish these lakes here in ny they have houses all over them plus boats and jet skis running all over see if they can catch bass lol no trees in the water either just tons of weed beds , i think there are alot of good fisherman here just people see bass fishing as a south thing and relate trout to the north i guess

dont like his shows to much bs in around its like fish fishburn show stinks

those are the best swim baits i have ever seen , those should catch some fish for sure ,

buy more baits save your money watch your line i dont know

chatter bait swim jigs swim baits these are the three i need to work on will see how long that last lol

if you guys are sure of his age and interest then throw him some lures , he will probably rant and rave over them and make ya feel like a million bucks , it is almost christmas :

well lets see swimbait , tubes, jigs, and many other odd stuff ok on the other hand give me 2 baits i will take a texas rig worm and a spinnerbait thats all i need , probably why i dont catch anything on other stuff cause i cant put a spinner bait or a worm down

im talkin about a hook tied to your line like t-rig un pegged ,the line will work its way into where its bent back around to itself , this will cause a break off on hookset so to combat this you can 1- check line every cast 2-slide worm up on hook and into the line alittle to keep it straight 3-put a drop of super glue in the gap (this is what i do) what do you guys do ?

un-pegged i like to use a bead also between the hook and sinker , plus if you dont slide the worm high on the hook you get a clicking from the weight to bead and bead to the loop end of hook , when you just shake the rod tip you its almost like ringing a dinner bell , the only time i will peg is if im usin my drag along the bottom approach

i tried it dont like the stuff at all .it gets hairy like and i had trouble with it breakin on me when i was settin the hook use in swim baits , i have now switched to power pro and love the stuff
