  1. Sure they'll work in Florida! Just don't give up if you don't get bit right away. The first "swimbait" Bass is usually the hardest to catch. 8-) Dan
  2. No pics of the dinks . Those are the 3-4(?) lbers. Dan
  3. Hit my boss's small pond this afternoon and when I caught the first Bass, I discovered I'd left my tackle box with my scale and tape in our other car. All they wanted today was my KVD Spinnerbait made by Strike King and the were hitting it all over the pond. Had wind ruffling the water's surface with blue-bird skies and temps in the low 80s. Caught 15 or 16(mostly dinks) in total but just took pics of four of them. The first two pics are of the same Bass. Hope y'all enjoy seeing them: Dan
  4. Y'all both did fine! Dan

  13. There will never be a spinning reel that doesn't twist its line.......
  14. Yes, if you're using it as a jig trailer. Jig Dan
  15. Some points about fishing a swimbait: When I retrieve(slowly) one of my Matt's Baby Bass swimbaits, I point the rod straight at the bait with everything(rod, line, and bait) inline. The instant I feel a bite, I start REELING and sweeping(to the side or upward) the rod as fast as I can. You want NO SLACK in the line. You DON'T feel the bite, lower the rod, reel down, and then try to set the hook. If you allow any slack in the line, you will fail to get a good hookset. After it's hooked, don't let any slack appear in the line---REEL FAST. Be ready to stab your rod into the water if the line starts rising and keep on reeling---no slack--none! Dan
  16. I have done that but for some reason, I prefer them on that 3/0 weedless Gammy hook, rigged wacky? Dan
  17. Some reel maintenance tips Comments on oils and greases Dan
  18. Wacky-rigged(no weight--retrieved slowly): T-rigged(with a weight--retrieved more rapidly, hopping it on the bottom): Dan
  19. Look at the color of the water in this pic! Another one. Even darker! More dirty water. Obviously, swimbaits(at least Matt's Baby Bass) work in dingy, nasty looking water. Dan
  20. Neither for me . I use a 100% fluro. Dan
  21. HOLYBASSMASTER MATT!!! I am overwhelmed and envious! Dan
  22. Alright! Good catchin' young man 8-) Dan
  23. Nice Bass and pics! Dan
  24. I used a weedless, Mustad treble hook on mine when I first got them but took it off and still hooked Bass without it. It messes up the great profile of Matt's B/G IMO. Dan
