  2. Not saying I know but here are some 24 inchers: 6 lbs, 1 oz 4 lbs, 2 oz 5 lbs, 15 oz 4 lbs, 9 oz Obviously, there can be a wide range of weights with the same length. I think your's is heavier than those above but it's hard to tell. Dan

  7. ls1: Ask Randall; I won't fish with spinning gear . I've caught several Bass there using a shaky-head and a wacky jig in the smaller sizes. ;D@Yak! Check out this Ika-caught Crappie[from another pond] Dan
  8. Outstanding Bass young man! My neighbor said they were biting yesterday too as he caught 20 Bass at Lake Juliette, GA. Dan
  9. Man! Didn't know I was missed. Thanks to all of you for your kind words. I've been 'quiet' lately due to the cold and wet weather here for the last few months. I know, I know...many of y'all suffer through much colder weather than I but being a South Floridian, my blood is a little 'thin' . Just haven't caught much lately that's pic-worthy and was a little depressed. Randall cheered me up though . Anytime y'all can, go on a Lake Varner trip with him. You will learn a lot and have a chance at some double-digit Bass too. I paid close attention to him Matt! Did catch a big gill and posted about it yesterday. Thanks again everyone. Dan
  10. WTG Matt and Congrats on your new PB. Ya got me beat by 2 ounces 8-). Dan
  11. Take that same worm, 1/8 oz weight, and hook but rig the worm 'upside down' so that the 'V' cut in the tail is pointed down. That worm has seams so be sure to rig the hook directly through the seams, keeping the worm straight. Now throw that rig as far as you can and engage the reel as it hits the water and REEL! You now have a very effective but subtle "buzzbait" and if the topwater bite is 'on', hang on as you will get "hand grenade" like strikes! You can also 'kill' the fast retrieve, letting the worm flutter down and pick up a 'follower' that way too. Dan
  12. Very nice fishies Vyron!!! Dan
  13. Yep, me too but never on a 5" Senko, Swimming or the original :-?. Ya got me Burley . Thanks for the looks and the replies y'all. Dan
  14. Fished a couple of hours around the shore of one of my former boss's ponds this afternoon. Sunny with clouds and wind----gusts up to 30 mph and air temps in the low 80s. Caught a couple of 1 lb Bass on an almost weightless Swimming Senko. No pics of them but then my 7' Kistler Medium LTA Helium rod bent over after my third hookest. Thought I had a nice, heavy Bass but I got a surprise in that it was a big Bluegill.....on the same Swimming Senko that the two Bass ate. I've caught a few other gils out of this pond and they were respectable but this one beat them all. Usually, I'd catch them on a hardbait of some kind but not this one. 19. 'Fangtastic' CATCHIN' young man!!! What a great bunch of sacks! Thanks for keeping such good records and making the pics FB. I know it's tough to stop and take a pic when they are biting like they were for you. Dan
  20. I've caught literally hundreds of Bass on the original, 5" Senko(90% were color #222 btw) since I started using them back in the 90s. But, once I got my first Swimming Senko, that's all I will throw when the conditions call for a weightless(they also work great when rigged weighted/Texas), soft-plastic. The slightest turn of the reel handle makes that slender tail go active and will entice the wariest of Basses. Good catchin' young man! Dan
