  1. We never have enough! 8-) What a great day preach! Dan
  2. My best friend got one after I recommended it for his new, 7' Kistler LTA Helium Medium Caster rod. He loves it and has caught a bunch of Bass with including one or two 8 lbers. Dan
  3. WOW! Very good report/read Avid! Like your outlook and the results! Dan
  4. Matt: Word of caution; I use to use the very same scale. Had it for about a year and then one day, it just quit on me; battery tested OK and a new battery made no difference :-/. An expensive scale that is yes, accurate but I can't use mine now..... Dan
  5. Welcome and I'd guess 3 lbs. Dan
  6. Chris: You are one of my HEROES!!! Well done young man! Dan
  7. Well done young man! A pair of Mustad's Triple Grip trebles might help with the cr/bait hooking . Dan
  8. We are not worthy! :o Thanks for the pics and THE BAITS Matt!!!!! Dan
  9. My wife of 42+ years wants me to throw everything away....before she does . Thanks everyone. I was so afraid I'd lose that Bass but I got very lucky. Dan

  12. I went to my former boss's smaller pond today just after noon; partly cloudy, light wind, sunny, and air temps in the mid 90s. I was throwing several(spinnerbait, topwater, , T-rigged GY Grub, and two identical(except for color and the rig they were on), new hard jerkbaits, Jackall's Squadminnow. No hits on anything as I fished from that tiny platform you see in the background until I threw the SM that was on my 7' Medium Kistler LTA Helium with its Daiwa TD-Z reel. I felt the lightest of 'tics', set the hook, and then the fun began. She ripped off some line, came up and jumped and that's when I knew she was a nice one. Two more jumps, drag slipping surges, and after a minute or two, I lipped her right next to the dock. I think she was the 6.5 lber I caught last January. She's the largest caught there so far. Caught a 2 lber and three other dinks; all on that one bait. It's a keeper. 7 lbs even Nice gut Sqadminnow Big mouth Two pounder Here's the review that caused me to buy that bait. Dan
  13. Though I believe that Gamakatsu makes the best worm hooks, I prefer these on hardbaits. Dan

Correct; I don't consider them a "swimbait". Dan
  15. This may be more than you wanted but... Boca Bearings Cardiff bearings Dan
  16. And, then there were fiberglass rods! In use Megabass's Elseil and others If you're really interested in different ways rods can be designed, you might want to read this. They are not just "bling"(God, but I hate that word!). Dan
  17. LC Pointers have been productive for me lately; both for Bass and gills but I just discovered this new jerkbait from that review. I bought two and have just tried them out today, catching 4 or 5 Bass but no big ones. They really do 'stop' and quiver.. Dan
  18. I would encourage you to throw the biggest topwater you have and work it as fast as noisily as you can at night. Bass are less spooky at night and you want to draw them to the bait with lots of commotion. During the day, you want a lighter weight bait and more subtle action when the water is calm/flat. 4 lber--dead calm, bluebird, cloudless sky on a balsa bait Same conditions/bait--6 lber Dan

T-rigged--3/8 oz weight and a 4/0 GY Sugoi hook same rig 6 lber--T-rigged Wacky-rigged--3/0 weedless Gammy Another wacky-rigged SS Wacky-rigged 6lber wacky-rigged They work well along the bottom or pitched next to cover when T-rigged or on top or in the shallows when wacky-rigged. Dan
