  1. Not too shabby young man! Dan
  2. Excellent catchin' young man!!! Big Baits; Big Bass! Dan
  3. Nice Bass but those other guys had big eyes if they thought it was "11-13 lbs". Well written and interesting story! Dan
  4. Outstanding catchin' Randall!!! Glad to hear your DW is doing better I'm sure she knows you're a 'keeper' too! Dan
  5. No problem TN. I was just pointing out even though Heliums are light-in-weight, that can still handle big fish and not just Bass Ugly sticks are not light-in-weight and yes, they too can bring in big fish but fishing with a Helium for hours at a time will not tire one out as much as some heavier rods will. Btw, a well balanced rod will feel light-in-weight too...... Dan
  6. Kistler vs Tarpon: No, that's not me. 10 lber on a Kistler Mag: My PB, 9 lbs even, on one of my Heliums and a Matt's Baby Bass And yes, they are light enough to float: Dan
  7. WTG Dub!!! Well written and interesting story to go with that healthy 7 lber! Dan
  8. Excellent! I caught a 4 lb catfish on a Chatterbait last year. 'Skeered' the heck out of me :-/. Dan
  9. Alright!!! That's showin' 'em Avid! Dan
  10. Been out a couple of times over the last 2 or 3 days and nothing but dinks Avid. Threw it again today but no takers. One 2 lber on the KVD spinnerbait and a few dinks on other baits today. And yes, I consider the SJ a big Bass bait. It should be at its price. :-? IB: Topwater is fun for sure! Dan
  11. Clever! There's a Senko in those pics? Nice work young Lady!!!! Dan
  12. Recent interview with Trey Kistler Dan
  13. Not today Mike. Three(one topwater and two hard jerkbait) bites and no Bass today :-[. Dan
  14. Very Nice Bass no matter the weight!!! Get a 4 or 5 lb bag of sugar or flour and put it in a plastic grocery baggie and weigh it..... The government is pretty strict on its weights and measures. Dan
  15. I have owned and used 7 LTA Heliums. I have since gotten some Megabass rods that cost twice as much as the LTAs but are heavier(my 7' Medium Helium floated when I knocked it overboard and that was with a Daiwa TD-Z, fluro line and a lure on it) and not as sensitive as the Heliums. I still have 3 Heliums and recently landed a 7 lb Bass with my 7' Medium. There are other reasons why I got some MB rods. Dan
  16. Catch, photo, and release for me too except for the dinks in two ponds that the owners want removed. Years ago, we ate Bass and they were fine tasting but I skinned them instead of scaling them. Getting rid of the oily skin frees up the taste of the flesh. Dan

WTG Dom!!! Ya done good young man! Dan
  18. What they said! Dan
  19. This is the hook I use for all my soft-plastics but when wacky-rigging. The Kahle hooks work but where I fish, there is too many snags for me to use that style. Be sure you don't use a 'normal' hookset with them or you will not hook them up; just start reeling and put pressure on the hook and it will work fine at hooking them up. Dan

Man, you way outdid me today. All I could catch were 4 or 5 dinks; nothing over 1 lb :-[. I still marvel that you are able to cast a Hudd from a canoe ! Keep on keepin' on Avid! Dan
  21. Y'all had a Ball! Nice, solid Bass and watch out; that young Lady is going to catch up to you soon! 8-) Dan
  22. WE ARE NOT WORTHY!!!!!! 8-)
  23. What they said....using the 5" and longer Senkos. No problem at all with a baitcaster! Dan
