  1. Thank you V! Their already-rusty rivet makes for a good squeaking sound too. Their hinged hook keeps Bass from throwing the bait most of the time too. Haven't tried the new styles yet. Dan
  2. Outstanding catchin' Bud!!! Dan

Two fine fellers for sure but that Avid guy is gettin' a little old.................... :exclamation ;D
  4. I find them to work better T-rigged with a bullet-weight. The 1/4-3/8 oz weight makes the fall faster and the special tail works then whereas weightless, it won't. I do fish it weightless when wacky-rigged and it works just fine then. Dan
  5. Rt: Been using the Big Ikas for years and truly prefer them over the 'Fatties'. The Fat Ika has too much 'real estate' diameter-wise(and is too short) to rig easily and to get a sure hookset IMO. I know RW and others use them effectively but the Big Ika is a superior bait IMO . Dan
  6. Very nice Bass TRT and BB!!! Dan
  7. Get a better camera gt! ;D Niceun for sure! Sorry you had to keep her but I understand she was bleeding. :-[ I agree with you on your fluro comment btw . Dan
  8. gt: I'm THERE! Jay: Very nice vehicles! I never drag raced the 1LE. I didn't run my first 1/4 mile pass until 2001 when I ran a 12.531@108.69 in my F150 Lightning. I didn't know the rules in that when you run a below '12', you had to have a roll cage and so was confused when a guy would ask every once in a while; "You ran an '11' in your Camaro?" ;D Dan
  9. Beautiful lake/site and some nice Bass! Dan
  10. Good but sad story Matt. It happens and you know they call it "fishing" but we'd wish it was always "catching". Dan
  11. Y'all are so kind. Thanks for looking and replying. Dan
  12. WTG FFI! Our son has no love of fishing and since he lives in CA....... :-[ I'm sure your Dad had the time of his life spending time with his Son! 8-) Dan
  13. Cliff: You've got the hang of it for sure! 'Purty" Bass!!! Dan
  14. Thanks Jay. BTW, that was my 1991, Z281LE, a special edition that was designed for Trans AM racing back in the early 90s. Had Corvette brakes and oil cooler, aluminum d/s, no a/c or radio, all from GM. You can see some of the changes added like the window net, a 6-point roll cage, Recaro driver's seat, 5-point harness, stainless steel headers, and then hidden changess like an Optima battery in the rt. rear 1/4 panel, lightweight racing wheels, BFG R1s, Hawk Racing pads, and a balanced-n-blueprinted 305 ci(bored out to 310 ci--the TA limit), cam, gutted intake, Crane roller rockers, etc, etc. It surprised a few Porsches and Corvettes at Road Atlanta and Roebling Road driver's schools. Yes, they all have big heads and slender bodies. The owner had both ponds electro-shocked(I was the 'net' man) last year and has added auto -feeders and forage fish to help in getting the Bass heavier. Dan
  15. ;D at Avid! SS: It's a Daiwa Sol that has been tuned by a Texas reel man and yes, I really like it. Thanks y'all. I caught a 2/10, a 3/6, and some keepers today on that same bait. They come with a narrow gauge Gammy hook that goes right through a Bass's head bone easily. 3/6--21" Dan
  16. Good catchin' berkley! It's always rewarding when a new-to-you bait works 8-). Dan
  17. Way to figure them out bdog! Ya done good young man. Dan
  18. My wife and I left Miami, Florida back in 1972 before there were any Peacocks there :-[. Really would like to go back and hook a few. Great pics and fish y'all! Dan
  19. It took me a while to get confidence in spinnerbaits too but now I almost always throw one. Nice catchin'! Dan
  20. Purty Bass and wife and she got it done! 8-) Dan
  21. Look very carefully at my Driver's School(and daily driver when I had it) Z281LE. And, look at the rear window of my F150 Lightning. And, I was born-n-raised way South of you, down in Miami, Florida, many moons ago. Yes, that bait did well on a tough day. Dan
  22. "And a good time was had by all!" Hot weather, eh? 95 degrees here this afternoon. Dan
  23. Tried the boat in the bigger pond but no bites so after an hour and a half, I headed back up to the smaller, walk-around pond. 95 degrees F air temps, light breeze, very few clouds and bright sunshine made for a low bite-to-cast ratio for sure. I tried my usual group of baits. Tried a 1/2 oz all-chartruese one and caught two 1 lbers. Then I switched over to a 3/8 oz, White/chartreuse one and hooked a 6 lber from the eastern bank. Sorry for all the dirt but it's a little tough getting the heavier Bass up the muddy bank. Had a few other bites on that same bait but only hooked those three but I'll take that result from a new bait for 4 hours of Bassin'. Dan
  24. I rip a 'stock' one and watch(near the boat just to see what it did) as it darts to one side. Very 'natural' looking and you're correct in that no other bait(I've seen) does that. Dan
  25. Awwwwwwwwwwwwesome BASS George!!! Is that a Swimming Senko I see on the left? Dan
