  1. Found these on sale the other day at a local Belk's store. Dan
  2. Y'all did good with what you had to work with! 8-) Dan
  3. Outstanding catching Daniel's friend's son!!! 8-) (Did I get that right? ;D) Dan
  4. I see them once in a while and have wished I could get one to bite my Bass bait but never have been able to :-?. Ya done good Burley! Dan
  5. I know C-riggers catch Bass but there's just too much terminal tackle for my tastes :-?. Dan
  6. Yes, I have some and have caught Bass with them. They are high quality in every way. I bought mine through their online store. Dan
  7. Never had one as these as they are almost 'unobtainable' but they surely look impressive: They are designed and made by Gancraft, a Japanese company. I've used and caught some nice Bass on the KVD spinnerbait, made by Strike King. Dan
  8. Outstanding Bass and pics Daniel!!! Dan
  9. Never used either model but here's a review of the Cardiff. Many guys find the Curado a fine reel. Here's a mini-review of the Corvalus. Dan
  10. WTG Matt!!! Y'all figured them out in fine fashion! Dan
  11. Nice catchin' Eddie! I haven't throw a topwater in a long time :-?. Dan
  12. Outstanding Bass!!! Spinnerbaits can catch some bigguns for sure! Dan
  13. Thanks everyone for the kind words and for looking. Russ: It's a MB F4 ½-68XFti Jabberwock Evolution (Medium Fast, ¼-1 oz., 8-22 lbs.). That 'bent' handle fits right against my lower arm . EDIT: Sorry but the handle is 'cut' in that pic Let's see if this works: Thanks Corey . Vyron: I'd been T-rigging a GY Lizard and remembered I hadn't thrown an Ika in a long time. I use to throw one weightless all the time and caught many doing that but the bite seemed to be on the bottom that day. GY's Lizards are so fragile in the 'nose' area so I decided to try a thicker bait and that Big Ika fit the bill . Dan
  14. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwesome young man!!! What a FISH! And you caught it with less than steller gear! Dan
  15. Excellent new PB Norman! That's a fine, heavy Hawg no matter where it was caught. Dan
  16. Thanks again y'all. No Avid, I haven't thrown a C-rig in years. I detest having to fool with all that terminal tackle :-?. I T-rigged it using for the first time, a "bobber-stopper"(keeps the weight in place) and a tungsten weight with a 4/0 Sugoi hook. Tried that b/s out as I'm running low on my favorites, Gambler's Rattlin, screw-in weights. That Ika is a "big" Ika(I don't use the "fat" ones) in their color #236: They don't make any Ikas in color #222 or I'd have some . Dan
  17. Ya done good young man! Keep on keepin' on 8-). Dan
  18. Nice catches young man! I use that same stringer to put a Bass on until I can get the camera ready when I'm in my boat. Dan
  19. Spent about 3 hours at my former boss's pond. Windy, BP dropping, high 70s, cloudy, and one day before the full moon so I thought I had a good chance of slaying them but all I could manage was a 4 lber plus 5 or 6 1 lbers. Still a nice way to spend a few hours as much needed rain approaches from the SW. Dan
  20. Couple of niceuns Z! Dan
  21. Good 'job' young man! Dan
  22. Gudgodamighty!!! Dan
  23. Great fish Dan! Do you think fishing a swim senko wacky has different action than a regular senko wacky? Oh yes, they have a different action than the originals. I run my 3/0, Gammy, weedless hook at a point about 1/3 of its length from its 'nose'. Rigged wacky this way, the nose falls towards the bottom first. I haven't proved it yet but I believe it will land on a bed/nest nose-first and will appear to be eating the eggs..... Dan
  24. To offer some help to keep from snagging a Matt's lure; if/when you feel your line to start to get a little 'heavy', it's rubbing against a stump or log as you feel the weight of the swimbait behind it. If you'll raise your rod tip, you often will bring the bait over the potential snag. No, that doesn't always work but it can save you from snagging your bait.......and having to go swimming again 8-). Btw, BPS's lure-knocker has retrieved my swimbaits many times when the lifting of the rod hasn't worked. Dan
