  1. I'm sorry but I d/k what you are asking as the title doesn't agree with your post :-?? Dan
  2. I would think that the Medium rod will be even better than the MH. Dan
  3. NICE Bass and welcome to BR. Dan
  4. Very nice 'ending' young man! Would have been nice to see that fat Bass though . Dan
  5. WTG Jason! That's a fine, fat Bass and is worthy of a new PB!!! Dan
  6. Check out this Polish ultra-light rod in action. "The rod was a custom built on St.Croix 5S59ULF blank (2-4lb, 5'9", 1/32-3/16oz) matched with Conquest 51S. This combo is casting just great, any lure you want." Dan
  7. "The F4-610GT3 Shiryu sports titanium framed, SIC guides in a spiral wrapped configuration - an arrangement that makes a lot of sense on a glass rod where the flexibility of the blank lends itself to line rub in a conventional guide arrangement." " Spiral wrapped guides are a smart move on glass sticks." Just some additional thoughts(not mine) on "why" to have spiral-wrapped line guides on some(certainly not all) rods.............................. Dan
  8. Here is a moderately priced Rainbow Trout swimbait. That bait has caught hundreds of 10+ lb Bass. Read "The Big Bait Theory" and watch the Butch Brown videos to get your blood pumping ! Dan
  9. Here is a review of the Revo. Dan
  10. This one is spiral-wrapped. It's a Megabass Shiryu and the blank is fiberglass, designed for cranks. Here it is again: Dan
  11. Here is some info. Dan Dan this link doesn't open for me Let's try it again. Dan
  12. Yes, they are in my Pixy and my Sol reels. They are the best IMO. A Basser on another BB tuned both of those reels for me and installed the washers at the same time. He does great work. Dan
  13. I have a couple of Calais 200s including a Mg one. They are second only to the JDM Shimano Antares AR(Calais 100) IMO and that's just because I like the lighter, smaller size of the 100 models. Calais's are the "Mercedes/Lexus's" of the smaller, baitcasters out there. Dan
  14. WTG bitman! Nice Bass and pics too! 8-) Dan
  15. I'm still trying to decide............................. :-/ In a shallow water, weightless rigging, I think the original might have a slight advantage over the SS but not much. In deeper water, T-rig situation, I'd go with the SS. Dan
  16. I've never(maybe once?) T'rigged a 5" Senko but the new Swimming Senko 'begs' for a weight and a T-rig because of its more active tail section. I believe a heavier(I'm using a 1/4 or a 3/8 ounce, Gambler rattling screw-in weight.) weight is necessary to make the tail 'work' on its initial drop to the bottom. Dan
  17. Thanks for the comments y'all. Syfer: That's their #196 color. It's second to their color #222 in producing for me. Tf: Yes, that Rapala DT 10 is a 'keeper'. Dan
  18. Went to my boss's pond with my best friend Bill on Thursday. We both caught a total of about 8 dinks and a couple of heavier ones fishing from the shore. Today, I went to the swamp pond and caught just two 2 lbers. Both days had bluebird skies with wind and temps in the 50s. 3 lber 2 lber 2 lber Another 2 lber Dan
  19. What Jason said......exactly! Dan
  20. I've been using it for about 7 or 8 years. I don't apply it to spinnerbaits or Senkos. Spinner baits usely draw a reaction strike so it's not needed and the Senko comes with a heavy dose of salt making MS unneeded. I do rub it on my hard baits, jigs, and swimbaits. Dan
  21. Y'all done good! Dan
  22. Being a stockbroker for the last 23+ years, I'll follow those closely. Dan
  23. Like this one Randall? Dan
