This is gonna sound retarded but where do you tie off the line tie on the hook? top ring? bottom ring? line tie on the weight? I would think that first ring For most action but I feel sensitivity may lack but maybe not not sure.

I have the newer black and red SX and love it iv never had an issue with it and I bought a display model from DSG so everyone had there paws on it before me. I have done zero maintenance to it iv also only had it for a season but it got used seriously every single day for the whole season. I can honestly say iv never back lashed that wasn't a freak accident ( wasn't looking snagged my tackle bag on the back swing it wasn't pretty big big nest) my SX is also my first "higher" end reel all my others before it were cheapo quantum combos from DSG.

Sounds like my son Noah hes gonna be 3 on the 21st of may so 2 weeks and he is always saying "got one" reeling it in no mater how much I tell him to watch his bobber soon as it touches the water and i hand him his rod its "oh oh got one got one daddy got one" reels it in and sees no fish followed by " where did it go cast again daddy I got one" I swear I cast more with his little sponge bob pole in an outing then KVD fires out in a tournament lol

I have that habit in the canoe I get several pike a year that way lol scares the crap outa me but I have cat like reflexes lol

Iv never been I sent my mom there on a cruise for her 50th b-day I wanna go there for a fishing/bear hunt but its expensive and I have 2 little ones so maybe one day........

hmmmm where to start. Iv had alot of things great happen to me. My wife out fishing me seeing her big chees'n smile I love, my oldest son out fishing my wife and I at age 2 all by himself without help other then baiting the hook, Iv found a fat wad of money before also, building friendship and bonds with my best friend, father, wife, my son.

I throw and have success with all the same colors if any 1 seems to have a lead id have to give it to white, pearl, and chrome. Especially on sunny days in clear water white spinners with nickle willow blades are money in the bank. I can see the flash and glimmer the whole way back to me and when I see it change I know it was more then likely just a hit even if I didn't feel it I seen it I love fishing gin clear water the best its when I do my best.

My last 3 jobs came that way right off the job customers seen me and talked to the boss they were all friends and they kinda just swapped me around. I started selling parts in a local ma and pa auto store fresh out of college with as a ASE certified auto tech. I was there about 2 weeks when Dan the owner pulled me aside and told me I was out of my place there and he sent my resume and transcripts over to Georges his biggest client and that he wanted me to deliver a order over there in the morning. The next day the order was filled I loaded the truck and drove across town and George was waiting for me we had a few words he basically told me him and Dan talked and I started after lunch even though I objected and said I needed to give my two weeks and help out at the store but Dan refused and I started that afternoon at Georges and after a week I was his lead tech cranking out more car repairs then any 2 of his other mechanics could do in the same time respectively speaking I obviously couldn't do head gaskets in the time it took them to do a wheel bearing. I worked there at Georges till I left for basic and when I came back things were slow George couldn't bring me back full time he said he was gonna make some phone calls and get back to me next thing I knew I was interviewing for a position as a diesel and agricultural teachers aide and my name was already on the door they made up there mind with out ever meeting me just going by word of mouth from previous employers.

If necessary, remove the air cleaner duct and the air cleaner. Remove the drive belt from the air conditioning compressor, if equipped. Loosen power steering pump belt adjustment as follows: Loosen the pivot and mounting bolts. Loosen the idler pulley locknut and turn the adjusting nut counterclockwise to remove the power steering belt. [*]Loosen the power steering hoses at the pump and remove the bolts holding the power steering pump to the bracket. [*]Disconnect and plug the power steering hoses and remove the pump from the vehicle. To install: Using new O-rings, connect the power steering hoses to the steering pump. Install the power steering pump and secure it with its mounting bolts. Tighten the front and rear mounting bolts to specifications. Install the remaining components in the reverse order from which they were removed. Connect the negative battery cable. Fill the power steering system, start the engine and turn the steering wheel from side-to-side to bleed air from system

I noticed this as well but some times I would have 1bait last several like more then 10 fish then others would get ripped off from just hits never even hooking a fish and of course the pike destroyed it. I started using the baby or mini zoom super fluke jr what ever there name is the smallest ones available. They held up slightly better and yielded same results they caught me alot of fish. Also I might add that on a day I was all out of good baits for it and had a pile of baits with the nose ripped up I started to experiment with side hooking it like threw a flap on a super fluke it slowed the fall rate and kinda i mean kinda shimmied down like a senko it got bites it definitely got bit but it was like a 1 maybe 2 fish catch per bait then they were pretty useless. I tried tail hooking it as well got a few but not many bites and it would rip off coming threw brush or thick grass.

what engine VR6(v6), or 2.0(I4),1.8T(I4 turbo) they are all different when it comes to the pulleys to get the belt off. There may be a long bolt threw the top of the pump with another one in line with it probably threw a hole in the pulley. If its like that then you will have to loosen the one small one just a few turns don't take it out. Then loosen the long one it will lower the pump to remove tension then the belt will pull off. this may also be on a random idler pulley to idk with out knowing the engine in the jetta vw put several different engines in that car. It could also be a spring type tensioner where simply you put a square drive on it like a ratchet and u pry releasing tension then pull the belt off. There should be a diagram on either the hood or radiator support with the belt route labeled it should tell you which one the tensioner is. hope that helps some if i knew what engine it was i could pin point it for ya.

x3 same here I usually cast it out sit back and wait to see my rod go flying across the bank.....ok maybe not that drastic but u sure don't miss the bite and we have small channel cats where I fish like 6lbs is a good one i use the little glow stick on the rod tip and usually catch it out a my periferal vision

yup iv gone Ike both the good and bad. Iv thrown rods I broke one over a tree once. I used to have a really really bad temper back when I was younger before I settled down and started a family I used to break everything when I got ticked. luckily back then $30 was a expensive combo to me so it wasn't like now if I was smashing veritas's over trees because something dumb happened. Now I will just swear like a trucker which I do anyways even if everything's fine. Now good Ike I do alot more often when I catch a big fish I scream like a lunatic and get all exited. I do it when my son catches fish to and even at 2 hes embarrassing of his dad and starts blushing telling me to stop it lol but then goes home and recreates it to his mother to show how big his fish was.
