Just throw a buzzbait at night blk to be exact u can even let sink and retrieve it dead slow so its like a super thumpy spinner. That's my go to for night fishing bass

I thought I had this happen to a 7lber yesterday not bad amounts of blood but there was blood all over this fish and myself. After rinsing her off for a quick photo and measurement I noticed it was myself who was gushing blood in all the exitement I stuck the spinner past the barb into my thumb and was dripping blood all over the fish. But I have had a few gill hooks mine are more common on smallies taking rattle traps or larger cranks

When is a good time to throw swim baits its still cold here but its supposed to hit 70 all next Week with rain so that should warm the water. So would that be a good time to start using swimbaits I have a ton of them but never had luck I have mostly soft swimbaits and a few hard ones.

That's what I thought was dark colored lures I just don't have many I got some black and blue jigs a few dark brown and black smithwicks all my chatter baits are white or chart. I think I got a red and purple skirt for one. I was throwing all big bulky lures at first then I downsized and got bites that's what threw me off last year was a red rattle trap year till well all year lol. I'm used to fishing crystal clear waters seeing fish 30ft down ignoring me but I don't mind the mud now and then

After all this rain all the waters I usually fish are now flooded and look like chocolate milk to slightly stained(2ft visibility maybe). What should I be throwing and what colors IV caught a few seems like there holding to wood cover on the shoreline. I know Colorado bladed spinners are supposed to work. The two I caught the first was 2.5lbs on a Mr twister blk/ylw the second was 7lbs and on a redcraw colored spinner booyah top secret Colorado and willow blades. The waters still in the 40s and I'm off the bank in all but 1 spot I can borrow a canoe.

Its been pretty crapy here in wny as well hail major cold fronts 60mph winds. I caught a 7lb lmb today in a quary water was chocolate milk colored bout 43*water temp air was 37 she was holding in 3ft of water under a downed branch. 3/8oz booyah topsecret spinner in red craw pattern she hit soon as it touched water I thought it was a stick I snagged till it got closer to the surface and she took off like I had a blue marlin or something outa the deep lol

Ill take a 100 ill slap em every where tackle box's cars on the live baitmachine at the lake and the porta can lol

I was out today with my nephew we threw jigs, cranks, swimbaits, chatter baits, spinners, shakey heads, senkos, fat ikas in every size and color came up with nothing. The waters slightly warmer then air waters about 43 air was 34. I finally hooked up off a stump on a 1/16 blk /yellow Mr. Twister 2.5 lbs then my nephew poached one that hit 3 times for me he got it on a chart double tail twister. His was a little smaller also off some wood. So don't rule outthe basic simple stuff

Yeah I think its more ppl fishing I'm just on vacation Wich I was hopping to spend fishing but mother nature is pmsing and decided to drop 40* and start snowing. So I'm bored at home surfing BR but I have noticed threads went from bait monkey to bragging about catches or help on getting some more bites.

Me and the wife go into it this am about my tackle cuz I was putting new additions in there boxs. She says I have to much and when them big sales are on I usually only get 1 pack or one lure cuz she goes everywhere with me and is the boss. I like to buy multiples of every lure incase I loose one I got more to back them up she doesn't understand that. But as for everyone collecting something she doesn't she doesn't collect anything and has no hobbys other then giving me a hard time lol. But I am going to gander today to stock up on more lol

It just let up it was white out couldn't see the horses 30 yards out the back door it was so bad

It was 70 four days ago and today its 42 and snowing seriously in April common and yes it's sticking after 2hrs. Maybe I shouldn't have packed the ice fishing gear LOL this is crazy Tuesdays forecast is tstorms and mid to high 70s

I only cast jigs as I fish from shore rarely do I get a chance for vert presentations bot jigging is one of my fav presentations. I like to bomb my football head with a paca chunk and slowly drag it back by twisting my body to drag the jig thenk reel the slack wait desired amount abd repeat. 9 outa 10 times when I start my drag ill feel the fish swiming away and get it 99% of the time. I also swim it back to me with the same trailer just kinda pumping it as I reel and its deadly on lmb and the drag is almost guaranteed to get me a smb every time on rocky points. Also if u feel a hang up let it sit and kinda wiggle it they tend to slam it then or as soon as u pop it free

I'm always finding lures in my car I forgot I had. I keep all my gear in the trunk and just grab the boxes I want for each spot so I have a rolling tackle depot always finding long lost baits still in the bag w recipe
