Hey WdyCrankbait - I do have that rod/reel set up, just need to put on some new line. I've caught a few smallies, really small ones, and I agree, they are fun... I'm looking forward to hooking into some bigger ones... on purpose! Take care.

Wow...really making me miss Florida more and more. Still ice on my closest lake and some of the rivers/streams. Enjoy the canals...

Great pictures. My dad lives in Danforth. Are you close to them? I was up in August this past year to visit but didn't get any fishing in. Hope to head back up soon to try some ice-fishing. Definitely excited about going up in late spring/early summer to fish for smallmouth? Maybe we can get together...

Good to hear you picked one up that way. Now you'll be trying it more and more, getting confident with it. I love throwing a lipless or even a lipped crank to try and locate fish. Usually turns out pretty good results. Water's too cold for me to do that too much around here now. These bass don't wanna chase anything. Keep it up!!!
