Hey everyone. My name's Matt and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign studying Mechanical Engineering.

I am the President of Fighting Illini Bass Club, which is the only fishing club at our school. Through the club I participate in the National Guard FLW College Fishing circuit as well as the BoatUS Collegiate Championship. I also hope to participate in the ESPN Under Armour College Championship this year.

I have been fishing for most of my life and this will be my third year competitively bass fishing. I got involved my senior year of high school when I participated in the inaugural year of the Illinois High School Assocication Bass Fishing Tournament. My team and I actually made it to the State Finals that year and did pretty well there.

I have been following these forums for the past year or so but finally decided to register and get involved. If you have any questions about our club or college fishing in general, please don't hesitate to send me a message.

    I am from the same area, and work at the University also.  I belong to the Champaign County Bass Masters and we have a tournament every month, let me know if you are interested.
