  1. Yep, been there a time or two A man could get lost for days. Too bad so much is from China...... While you are eyeballin' check out Bear and Son knives http://www.bearandsoncutlery.com/ Made right here in Alabama, all American, no 'outsourcing'. And reasonable $$
  2. I'm not as fanatic as most, but yeah....religion down here. ROLL TIDE!
  3. Actually, I just recently put mine back on after a 6 year hiatus. Took a couple of weeks, but now I don't notice it, and I never take it off. Because of being a mechanic, mine is cheap white gold instead of platinum like hers.
  4. Pocket knives. Nothing of any serious value, yet....just ones I like.
  5. Any of the 'Hair Metal'. My Senior year of HS coincided with the end of the era ('91) And even though I was 4 years old when it first came out, Bob Seger's 'Night Moves' brings back good times. My then girlfriend, now Wife kinda thing.......yes, I married my HS "sweetheart" ... 8 yrs after!
  6. The band Tesla did a pretty good rendition of Lodi on their 'Five Man Acoustical Jam' album. And a Stones tune, 'Mother's little helper'. Check it out.....
  7. Started having migraines this year, they really suck....... Financial and mechanical issues made me decide early in the year to just leave the boat in the barn; one less thing to worry about...... .....actually admitting that the depression and anxiety is a problem...still workin' on that one Have not had the interest in much of anything lately, just going day by day. But like was said, there is always someone worse off......Good luck to all of you here at BR
  8. I work a 12 hour night shift, plus an hour drive. Work 2, off 2 weekdays, and then 3 day weekends. I rarely sleep more than 6 hours, day or night. But lately I sleep better on my off nights. Having to work sucks.....having to work nights sucks more......
  9. Ya know, if she can fart like a Clydesdale in public, imagine when you are alone with her!!!!!

Here's food for thought: No matter what you take or why, most of that stuff has liver and /or prostate warnings on the label. Read 'em!
  11. Jig' pretty well nailed it. Too many differing opinions. Besides, there are pu-len-ty of sites to get user-based reviews of all types of products.
  12. I think you mean OCD...... But, yeah, welcome back
  13. That kind of deal is hard on the family back home. Patience........ From the heart of a red-blooded American, THANK YOU for being there. God Bless.
  14. Happy Father's Day to All! Just a quiet day at home. Got a card and cash, good enough for me.......
  15. 'Bout anywhere, anytime a shakey-head will work. There are different versions that all do basically the same thing. What RW posted is unique, I've not seen those before.... Some are just a hook with a lead head. Some have a post or wire screw-lock to hold the worm. Some have a paper clip-looking doodad. Me, I prefer The Spot Remover, Pro Model w/ the screw-lock. Usually 5/16oz with a finesse worm, maybe 1/4 oz for a trick. One word for 'ya..........experiment!
  16. Howdy neighbor! Great place to ask all your questions, so load 'em up! Terrific bunch of guys here, with a couple of smartalecs thrown in for fun. Come on in, the water's fine
  17. My lake is mostly green-ish, so I use green line. Does it make a difference? Really couldn't say......

Seems to me that the Z's come in like 3 sizes. Which do you have? I have seen other brand chatters made like the Z's at wallyworld, couldn't tell you a brand for sure, but booyah comes to mind......
  19. Since you would have to remove the plug anyway, pull it out and see how much rust and crap got in it when you drained the tank. May have to go to a friend with a compressor and blow out your plug...... Also, I think those only unscrew maybe half a turn to drain. Any more and you damage the threads. Clean it up, put some thread sealant on and try it.
  20. Industrial Maintenance. Specifically injection molding (plastic).
  21. If you wanna fish, well, maybe. If you and wifey want a rec boat keep looking. Bass boats are built for a specific use, and don't fit well otherwise.
  22. Sure you can dicker, don't mean they will. Research prices in your area. What sells for 18k there may not bring but 10k elsewhere. Boat prices are funny that way.... I've mentioned this here before: head over to iboats.com. It is a retail site, sure, but they have a fantastic discussion forum for all things boat related, including brand-specific areas. It'll be worth your time. Good Luck!
  23. A recent topic involved the new, or lack of, fishin' stuff at the local wally world. So today I travel to the next town north of home, about 30 miles away. Stopped in the WM there just because I could. Not really looking for anything. Browsing through the sports dept. I notice a glass case on top of the checkout counter. Small, about four foot square, and locked. They had a couple of 'higher-end' reels in it. But what caught my eye was that half of the locked case was dedicated to..... Mann's Alabama Rig, and accessories for same. Good grief.
