  1. What do you fish with Fluke? If I only take three rods out fishing ....... those three are what I am taking. ;D But then everybody can look at mine and say ....... Spinnerbaits?? Yep. They just don't appeal to me and whenever I have thrown them they haven't appealed to the bass either.
  2. Thought I would update mine: Reels: Still nothing but SHIMANO Rods: I used to be All-Star, but then switched to Shimano, and now if I had the money I would switch out to all Custom G-Blanks. I just got my first one last week and so far I am in love Line: Yo-Zuri on all reels except two and they are both Power Pro Soft Palstics: Still mostly YUM, but I do use some GYCB, and ZOOM products Crankbaits: This is the place I am not brand loyal what so ever. I use them all. Jigs: Mainly Strike King, but I will use anything
  3. Rogue????? Where ya at? I think we might have a problem here. I think the bait monkey has taken him captive and sold his house, cars, boat, computer, etc .......everything. But I bet he is sitting on the corner of a street somewhere with some pretty sweet gear. ;D No really, How'd you make out?
  4. I bet it wont take long .... ;D Now that's a dedicated fisherman. Buying a boat before a car.
  5. Everybody check your bank statements this month. I have a $60 charge from Bassmaster that I have no idea what the hell it's for. Just givivng everybody a heads up. They could be trying to pull a fast one. I will update this situation when I call them in the morning.
  6. MAde me chuckle thinking back about last fall. I was in my two man boat and I found a pod of bait in the back of a descent sized cove. This lake has houses on it and I had a guy watching me from his deck. I finally get in casting range and the bait disappears. I make a few cast with a Rattletrap anyways, but know takers. A few minutes later the bait is surfacing behind me where I just was. I troll back over. What do you know. They disappear again. Couple cast no takers. Now the bait is back where I cam from again ....................... went on for about 45 minutes with no sucess. Finally the guy on his deck comes dwon to his dock (beer in hand) confused look on his face .... and asks "Whatcha doin there?". I told him and I don't think he understood, but he did give me some good advice. He said "I would try something else cause that sure ain't working" as he walked back up to his deck. ;D As far as baits for schooling bass - I like reaction type baits because it seems as if you can get one of them to hit, it will excite the rest and you might me able to catch every last one of them.
  7. Exactly what I was thinking. Any $$ I gain will be goin directly back into the boat.
  8. The house I am currently renting at college had a canoe in the backyard when we started renting the place. Well it's been almost 3 year now and the canoe is still there. I don't think the boat has ever been registered. There no signs of #'s and in Kansas you don't have to register a boat if you intend to power it by hand. Would I have any problem selling this thing?
  9. I would definelty go with a 24V and get the biggest one you can afford. I would go with at least a 70+ personally.
  10. Don't know about last year. I have never made a log, but that is all changing this year. So far in '06 ............ 11 and counting ........... nothing with size though
  11. There was never a clear cut answer. One of the world's great mysteries ;D http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1136331466/0
  12. That would make sense.
  13. If this was based on tourney fishing then I can see that. But recreationally????????? I don't think so.
  14. Fork not even in the top 10. Oh my. I have never fished any of those other lakes, but I find it hard to believe Fork didn't crack that list. Do you know when this list was made? It could have been when Fork had the Largemouth Virus. That would be understandable. I think roadwarrior will have something to say about the Tennessee River not making the list either.
  15. Here's a good one: http://www.paintcenter.org/rj/sep03i.cfm
  16. Google it. You find lots of articles. I did. I can't really remember the fine details, but I will tell you there is a TON of prep work. I am sure LBH will be able to help you. I will try to find those articles for you as well.
  17. I personally like the Fluke when the bite is tough during the spring.
  18. Well said basspro05.
  19. I don't want to know. I've heard there are monsters down there
  20. I fish about 4 regularly. Where I go can be dictated by a lot of things. Like who I m going with, what type of fishing I want to do or work on, wind, weekday or weekend, and lately gas prices. One of these lakes I fish is about an hour and a half from me. Two years ago I was going down there about once a week during the summer. Last summer I was forced to fish lakes more close to me because of gas prices. As long as I have somebody going with me, I have no problems driving quite a ways for a one day trip. My dad and I have drove 5 hours a couple of times to fish a big farm pond that we got permission to fish.
  21. Were these in a file? On display?
