  1. For plastics I use different colors of greens, purples, and browns. For jigs I like greens, browns, black, and blue/black.
  2. I like to use them as jig trailers and on t-rigs in heavy cover.
  3. The end of the day when you can look back on how you figured out what the bass wanted and remember how the fight felt.
  4. X2 Mine is called voice notes, but its the same thing. What I did was put a piece of paper in the tackle box with some notes on it so I remember what to say into the phone.

  9. It started off with gift cards from BPS. Then one day I saw a lure that I wanted and paid cash. Then I started hitting the bargain bins just to buy something. I thought I had it under control a couple of years ago until the Cabela's opened up that is right on my way to work....
  10. I remember when computers became popular back in the early 80's. People would say what do I need one of those things for.

I'll try swimming a jig when I can see the bait fish moving around. If I don't see any activity I will fish the bottom.
  13. I can't remember the first lure that I used, but the first lure that I caught a fish on was a Big-O.
  14. Not really for a tackle box, but you should keep a paddle or oar on board just in case the motor would quit.
  15. When the spool is empty I try and make a mark about 1/2 way down. I fill it up with some cheap backing to the mark and then put my line on.
  16. With the weather suppose to be turning colder next week I figured it would be a good time to get the reels checked out and cleaned up. Not going to take them all in at once though, just in case it the weatherman is wrong and it warms up .
  17. I have noticed that too. I thought I would try braid for jigs fishing instead of mono, but the bass wouldn't touch the bait. I retied the same jig on a rig with 15 pound mono and started getting bites again.

His Xmas specials were a holiday season staple.
  22. If I'm in open water swimming a jig I will use a 6'6 mh rod and a fast reel for quick line pick up. If I am weeds I will switch to a heavy rod. I don't like to use braid on BC reels, but in lily pads it is a must.
  23. I like a high speed reel, especially when the wind is blowing your line around.
