  1. Where is the Baitmonkey... He's in my wallet, and he ain't coming out soon.
  2. Good to know, thanks.
  3. The name fits the way I fish. I usually cast in toward the bank when I'm in a boat and trudge around the bank when fishing from shore.
  4. Being born and raised in the St. Louis area, you ain't going to get an argument from me on that one.
  5. Most of the lakes around me are between 1 acre and 170 acres. The closest big lake would have to be Mark Twain and that's about a 2 hour drive, longer in traffic.
  6. One of the bigger lakes around SW Missouri, NE Arkansas, or Texas. No phone no computer nothing to do but fish for as long as I want.
  7. Check the grocery store for scents. Some of the food flavoring and spices they sell stinks just as bad as the stuff you pay big bucks for and its a lot cheaper.
  8. Usually dawn, but it also depends on the lake I am going to be fishing at.
  9. Wind and girls. Not necessarily in that order.
  10. Nice. Some good ideas here.
  11. HAHA Good Stories. Several years ago my Mom and Dad were fishing out of a boat down in the Arkansas part of Current river. Well my Dad, who is running the boat, decides to tie up under a tree that is growing out from the bank and hanging out over the river. He runs the boat right into a hornets nest and my Mom about freaked. I don't think she ever went out in the boat with him again after that.
  12. Around here the deepest lake is probably about 20-25 feet deep.
  13. Watermelon / red flake Pumpkin Chart. Pumpkin Junebug Watermelonseed Green Pumpkin Watermelon Candy
  14. I'm not sure but I know its bigger than the ones I caught this past weekend ;D
  15. Oh yeah. The MO. Conservation Dept. stocked some trout in a couple of the lakes near my house, and one of the lakes already had a pretty good bass population. Guess what, nobody has caught a trout since spring and the bass look a lot healthier.
  16. One of my Dad's big peeves is casting length wise to the boat. This is probably because he's taken my cap off with a lure several times and doesn't want me to do it to him.
  17. Planet??? I thought it was a cartoon dog.
  18. Definitely. I used to fish crankbaits all the time. Reading the advice from the people on this forum gave me the confidence to go out and try plastics and jigs. This is a great forum for bass fishing info, or just to hang out in for a while.
  19. I can't stand the taste of bass myself but i have always wondered how two fish mixed in the skillet would taste. I' thinking cat and bluegill here.
  20. Early to bed, early to rise, fish like he@@ and make up lies ;D
  21. Its about 170 acres. The shallows are about 2' deep with lilly pads and stumps, so you really need to watch where you are going . The deep part is about 13' and flat. In the middle of the lake are humps.
  22. They never had nothing like this when I was in college :-[
  23. I think several years ago there was a study with tagged bass and they found that the bass returned to their regular water.
  24. Never really liked the taste of bass. I usually smack a catfish in the head with a rock or other blunt instrument. After that I nail the head to a board so it doesn't move around so much when I clean it.
