  1. light weight spinnerbaits fished over the weeds... light weight sled rigged plastic fished slowly through the weeds. oe
  2. I'd tie a 3' 17lb nylon leader to your braid with an Alberto knot. Leave a 3/4" tag on the braid end. oe

  4. Berkley Sensation is a seldom mentioned co-poly that deserves to be in this conversation oe

  9. TSI 321 works well in that application oe
  10. Title shot jig heads don't use the Owner CPS keepers but might be worth a look. oe
  11. I wouldn't suggest your casting distance is affected as much by your equipment as by your casting motion. Your new Supreme 30XT is a fine reel (I fish light hair jigs with one). I use original Fireline 6lb without problem and I've used NanoFil without incident as well. My hair jig casting performance is maximized with a side arm, slightly lofted cast. With about 18" of line extended the rod tip is loaded at about butt (my butt) height and cast with a slight loft to propel the light bait rather flatly, compensating for any wind effect which might "float" your spinner. Give it a try before you spend more $. oe
  12. Under-filling the spool by 3/16" will help maintain line control. oe
  13. Considering the deformed, injured or sick prey are often targeted first you may be discarding the best baits in the pack... oe
  14. ...now I have to worry whether I actually got a cup of coffee.
  15. Tom, these days of the internet and social media, somebody is usually quick to rename an "old school" rig. I would have guessed your primary bottom contact bait to be a skirted jig. oe
  16. Who on this site admits to using the Neko Rig as their "PRIMARY" bottom contact technique last season or plans to this coming season? oe
  17. I don't like to bass fish deeper than 20' and beyond 30' I look for shallower fish or go home. oe
  18. I need a Rage Tail Menace in your blue bug color! oe
  19. "hook sets are free"... unless you are setting into a snag of rocks or log, in which case you may lose your bait or destroy the hook point. Seldom is anything in life black or white. oe
  20. Those you are going to fish every trip all year... oe
  21. Pretty much... however without the weight you've got a "fly" rather than a "jig". oe
