Jerkbaits To The Exclusion Of Crankbaits
Out of curiosity... who has gotten to the point in his/her hard bait fishing that they've tossed aside all crank baits in favor of jerk baits? Anyone almost there with only one or two crank bait exceptions? oe

Bearing Upgrade Help
If you have trouble controlling your cast when running ceramic bearings dry, add a drop of oil. This will slow them down a little and help with control... the higher the viscosity oil, the more control. oe

I believe fluoro is more abrasion resistant. oe- Copolymer Or Fluorocarbon For Leader Material?
Where you're fishing in wood cover I'd be using fluoro. I do like a co-poly mono when fishing more cover free environments, especially on or near the water's surface. oe- Personal Preference Please!
I'm assuming largemouth. Very clear water leads me to look for cover. I'd try fishing the outside deep weed edges with whatever plastic bait I was proficient with... in my case most likely a 5" grub on a jighead heavy enough to swim as deep as the weed bottom is. If there is a well defined inside weed edge I would fish it as well. Quiet wooden docks near or over water 8' or deeper would peak my interest as well. oe- Tackle Tour Reviews Bps Pro Qualifier

Yes, I have three drift socks in my 16' Alumacraft. Two of them are the same size and are deployed in tandem to help keep the boat aligned, the other is larger and most often used alone. I like to pull my boat down a shoreline with my bow electric motor and drag the tandem socks behind. The larger sock I will usually use tied to the bow and let the boat drift with the wind backwards, controlling position with a stern electric motor or the outboard. I have seven cleats on my boat; at the bow, on both port & starboard stern, both port & starboard 1/3 back from the bow and 2/3 back from the bow. This allows me lots of options both drifting and anchoring (two anchors). oe- Baitcaster Help Your Fishing?
