  1. It's called "spirogyra" and it bites the bag!
  2. To me your question seems mired in hearsay, so I'm not willing to hazard a guess. I have a gut-feel though, that you've already made up your mind In any case, I wish you best Roger
  3. There are many, many ways to compare fishing results, the least of which is lure color. For instance, if you were not closely monitoring lure color, you'd be unable to make the above statement. Instead, you could analyze more essential matters by using lures of identical color. Instead, you might compare different pause lengths, different retrieve speeds or slack-line freefalls versus tight-line pendulum glides, etc., etc.. By introducing a new set of players you'll open up a new set of conclusions Roger
  4. I'd give the nod to plastic worms. Roger
  5. Yeah, but you & I are tough customers, one strike and you're OUT!
  6. For my money, it all began in 1949 with the Creme Scoundrel by Nick Creme. During the 1950s, I caught more bass on plastic worms than all other lures combined. Roger
  7. It scares me that they misspelled "Spinning"! Roger
  8. The diameter of 30-lb braid varies from line-maker-to-line-maker. By the same token, the diameter of 8-lb nylon varies from line-maker-to-line-maker. Consequently, it isn't possible to accurately state 'line-capacity' without specifying the brand of line. Roger

I would agree that it's an Owner hook. They patented that centering-pin spring. Roger
  10. Geez, I haven't heard mention of spreaders or daisy chains in quite some time, let's throw in the Green Machine. We'd troll daisy chains right behind the transom, on the 1st or 2nd crest (I do miss the foamy brine). Roger
  11. KEYS? No, mine is a jump-start
  12. I think they're afraid of me
  13. Now we've got a problem! I usually wear a speedo on my SUP.
  14. In my den, I store soft-plastic baits in their original packages in a huge dresser with 5 big drawers. On my boat, my soft-plastics are poured into open trays in the top of my tackle box (open-access - quick-grab). I also keep surplus baits in the bottom of my tackle box in the original packages. Whenever I need to open a spare bag, the baits get poured into the open trays in my tackle box (open-access- quick-grab) Roger
  15. What's the livewell capacity?
  16. Technically speaking, every line material is best suited to some specific niche, so compromise is inescapable. Based on my particular modus operandi, the closest thing to an all-purpose line is Sufix 832 30-lb braid. A very svelte line, 30-lb Sufix has a diameter of 0.011" (11/1000"), the equivalent of Stren 8-lb nylon Roger
  17. Same Here (6' 10" is an ideal all-purpose rod length). When working in close quarters, long casts usually give bass a free meal ticket. Roger
  18. Best bang for the buck: > Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap ($5.50) > Strike King Red Eye Shad ($5.90) > Spro Aruku Shad ($6.50) Roger
  19. RoLo replied to Wes91's topic in Introductions
    Welcome aboard Wes Roger
  20. Ghost braid is white, thin and very hard to see. But a few stripes with a black Sharpie makes line-movement easier to see Not the right answer?
  21. I'd have to agree with that
  22. RoLo replied to paul.'s topic in Fishing Reports
Holy Smokes, who left the door open? Hi Paul, those are some really fine whoppers! Roger
  23. Now tell me, how bad a problem is that?
  24. Tom, best to hold that 'Yet' until Powerpole turns into a '12-ft Talon' (The Big-T here we come)
  25. I'm afraid that anglers are the critters who give EVA grips that chewed-up look I agree that full replacement is the best option, but speaking out of personal preference, I'd go with Hypalon over EVA for several advantages. That said, EVA is a tad lighter. Roger
