  1. oh i dont doubt stretch i know its real lol, but what i was getting at is its effect is minimal in my opinion...
  2. all stuff that is so minimal it rarely makes a difference anyways. mono is much better in my opinion, especially for the difference in price as well...
  3. waste of money. go back to the mono. transparency shmansparency, ive had multiple bluegill attack FC line in the water in front of me, yet the same school of bluegill ignored mono...
  4. throw the braid in the trash, mono is better...and dont believe all the people whining about its stretch, theyre just over paranoid; and probably the type that likes to waste line changing it every outing or week or month...
  5. caught my PB dropshotting a nightcrawler for catfish one night
  6. not excited about nothing really...
  7. how is it incorrect when ive done it successfully tons of times? i can see the line on top of the water move with mono, cannot see the additional line that would be underwater move with Fluorocarbon. hence, i can see my line move quicker with mono because it is not sunken as much as the FC line. and besides, if slack line fishing and line watching is the technique, then i dont need to be in complete contact with my bait, if that was my aim then i would be fishing with a tight line. frankly, youre the one thats incorrect here. especially when you say mono and shallow weightless presentations dont go together. mono is all i use, and i fish 99% of my plastics weightless and in shallow water. it works, perhaps you should re-evaluate your methods. you can stick to "conventional wisdom" if you want, but it doesnt mean its always right or the only way to do something.
  8. not in my experiences, maybe you got some bad ones....
  9. how do you'll figure you are more likely to lose a fish? i have 5 of the walmart $1 spinnerbaits and they out-catch my more expensive spinnerbaits regularly, except for my all white with red head booyah pond magic spinnerbait. never had a problem losing fish with them either. the hooks are plenty sharp and the components are plenty durable. the only gripe i could possibly have about the walmart spinnerbaits is the limited colors and they only come in one size/weight. and maybe limited blade style, but i dont really care about that myself... no knock to megastrike or siebert, but youre overlooking something because its cheap price wise and doesnt have a name brand. its that plain and simple. sometimes there actually are good things at fair value prices. now, i dont agree with the thread topic that its the only spinnerbait youll need, but its certainly worth having in your arsenal.
  10. like Triple H says on WWE: Learn to adapt or perish... i wouldn't blame it all on the weather. You cant control the weather, but you can control what you do. Adapt!
  11. use mono, and you have to watch your line. if youre fishing shallow, then the mono will float and be easier to see moving off to the side when i fish grabs the bait and swims off with it....
  12. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=bfro+fishing go read some of those reports that pop up with that google search
  13. i never minded someone having a few beers while fishing. just as long as they dont get hammered and give themselves time to sober up some before its time to leave. chances are i will be having a beer or so with them. dont like the littering part though, i feel bad when im fishing off a dock and the wind picks up and blows an empty beer can into the lake. that said, i also think the guy shouldve atleast waited until yall got to the lake to open the 1st 40oz.
  14. definately both smallies, but i think most of yall know that by now lol
  15. i caught a 26 inch striped bass on chicken liver, also white perch and blue gill. those aside from the obvious catfish ive tossed a shrimp shallow in clear water and watched bluegill tear it apart, theyre pretty voracious feeders. wouldnt surprise me if a bass would eat cut bait
  16. footprint images from nuffsaid....
  17. so far i got two pics of foot prints from nuffsaid, if i remember i will post them from home this weekend, im at work right now and dont want to mess with them here...
  18. thats nothing, ive caught 36 pounders in one of the Wii bass fishing games...
  19. i would skip getting any crankbaits or jigs right now, except maybe a lipless crankbait such as a chrome and black red eye shad. definately get an all white spinnerbait with a red head, ive had tons of success on the booyah pond magic white spinners. get a buzzbait, i like white with some chartreuse in the skirt... get some senkos/stickbaits, any shade of green usually works well for me. get some straight tailed and curly tailed plastic worms. (red shad, any shade of green, pink, purple) get some 3/0 or 4/0 worm hooks and ewg worm hooks. pack of water grimlin bullet weights so you get a variety of sizes in one pack. and if you get a cheap tackle box to hold you over for now, then youve probably spent your $50 and maybe a more...
  20. pearl white is my best producing color of fluke...
  21. can you email the picture to yourself, download it on your laptop and post it from there? i dont think youre faking. im waiting to hear more about whats going on. i have admitted i pretty much believe in bigfoot, and have had no encounters myself, doesnt make me crazy(even if my belief could be wrong). But something like this can also be met with extreme ridicule, its just to be expected. based on what youve said, i just dont see people messing with you to that extent. has there been anymore activity? sometimes bigfoots just pass through for a bit, if its one it may not always be there, or could just show up certain times of the year. why are you trolling so hard for pics? you would probably just scoff anyways lol. and i do agree its certainly debatable about whats going on around him though. im not so bullheaded about bigfoot that i would completely discount anything else as a possibility. also, maybe he just truely doesnt want to release any pictures. for whatever reason i wouldnt fault him if he doesnt. perhaps he has already seen it and is completely terrified. the outcome of this could go all sorts of directions, but i wont get into that...
  22. he will probably pay for that down the road
