YOu'll need to start getting the plugins for firefox. All the most popular ones are available for free at Firefoxs website. I've only had a couple problems with pages loading over the years using FF and it's almost always sites that run frames.

How does Tournament Fishing Affect a Lake?
It has nothing to do with not adjusting methods to catch fish as far as I'm concerned, I just don't like dealing with the hassles an average large size T or a couple smaller size T's inflict on a lake as far as lodging, public use areas and over crowding on the lake. USACE lakes were bought and paid for by ALL the taxpayers, not just tournament fishermen. I'm merely hoping the state decides to limit the number of boats allowed in tournaments on my local reservoirs so non - tournament anglers can also enjoy the lake.

wich motor
I prefer the power of the 2 stroke. Gas consumption isn't quite as big an issue anymore between the two. If you're looking for a quiet motor though the four strokes are pretty darn quiet.

Good , inexpensive bigginer boat?
For under 5k you definitely want to look at aluminum. You'll get far more for the money. As for a fiberglass? You'll probably be ooking at something that needs work and money. An occasional gem pops up from time to time for that $ amount but not often.

remodeling a boat
This guy has plenty of used and overrun tracker boating equipment. http://stores.ebay.com/TRACKER-MARINE-GROUP_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm This guy sells used bassboat parts he's taken off of various brands of bassboats http://stores.ebay.com/OZARK-BOAT-PARTS_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm I've bought from both of them. They're both good to deal with. Here's another http://www.candomarineparts.com/ Cando Marine (C&O) they're out of a small town west of Nashville. Gobs of bassboat stuff their on-line catalog, some of it harder to find. Windshields, gas tanks (they've got em all over the place). Tough to find hardware.

Small 10-12' boat questions
Not that those smaller plastic boats have alot of room to begin with but just looking at that one..... Man! The seating is WAAAAY too close together for me. Most of the other non-Vhull plastic boats have a little more space between anglers. I can't see that as anything other than too close for comfort for me.

5'6" pistol grip bait casting rod?
I have an old Bionic Blade IM6 pistol grip I used exclusively for topwaters. I've got a couple more 6' rods that I wish had pistol grips on them but have straight handles. At one time you couldn't get anything other than a pistol grip rod for bass fishing.

Let's talk Flipping Sticks
I don't flip as much as I do pitch that said, I've had a couple telescopic flippin sticks in my life and most just sat in the rod compartment unused. I have a pair of 6 1/2 wormin rods that wind up getting used much more for pitchin. I'm re-thinking my rods, I sold the flippin stick and will probably go with a 7' hvy (probably a TAS or Fatboy) for deep wormin/pitchin/flippin/some C-riggin.

Berkley Lightning Rods
Many people dont remember this, but when the Lightning rods first came out they were quite the rod. The spiral graphite LR series in either 5' 2", 5'6" or 6' was quite a rod for the time. I've still got a couple of old mid 80's LR rods and pick them up every once in awhile and am still amazed at how light and good those rods feel in your hand. Truely way ahead of their time back then and the price was only around $30-40, which for a rod of that calibur was quite a deal.

broken jerk bait
I had a Berkley firestick minnow and the lip broke off when it whacked the head of the trolling motor. Luckily the lip flipped into the boat. I glued it back on and use that bait today. Unless you've got the lip you're SOL.

CRAPPIE NIBBLES VS LIVE MINNOWS
I prefer to fish with minnows if it's not a hassle to get them or to keep them alive while fishing. Otherwise, a 1/16 or 1/32 oz tube with a nibble added on works well too.

Boat motor
Well it sounds like the shear pin was doing it's job. While changing a pin on the lake is something of a pain it's a lot cheaper than replacing a bent or broken prop or a spun hub. Worse yet, a bent prop shaft.

Craw & Fivebasslimit together again
Kudo's to anyone going out in this cold. Great bunch of fish!

Ugly Stick- I just don't get it.
I would never consider one for Bass fishing but OTOH, as for SW bottom fishing, I've used a few Ugly sticks as boat rods and they worked out great.

Mike Long is just too good!
In your opinion of course.

How does Tournament Fishing Affect a Lake?
I'm not going to get into the specifics of the effects of tournaments other than the effects it has on me. They've just about run me off the major reservoirs in my state from March - May. I'd love to see my States water patrol set a limit on the total number of boats per day that they'd issue regatta permits on. Once the limit is hit, no more tourneys can run that weekend on said body of water. There's nothing more aggravating than putting up with waiting lines in coves on weekends when a couple 100-300 boat tournaments go on not to mention the club tournaments. Worse yet is the inability to use public use areas due to lack of parking because 1 major tournament is going on or a couple smaller tourneys are there. I'm a taxpayer who paid for that ramp just like the traveling road show that's come to town. I'd like to be able to launch my boat and not have to drive a 1/2 mile away or more just to park.

Plummetting temps.
I was just checking the Mo. conservation department fishing report that just came out for the first time this year. Apparently most smaller lakes (under 500 acres) were effected by the dropping temps. Fishing has gone from great to a complete shut-off, the worst lakes were also effected by a big influx of rainwater that came in with that big cold front. The larger reservoirs have been less effected and smaller lakes towards the North and northwest that didn't get quite the rainwater influx have also been less effected. I'm skipping fishing this weekend. I can hear the wind whistling around outside as I type and I know it's d**n cold. If I was going to fish I'd probably throw a C-rig, slo roll a spinnerbait or throw a crankbait that was weighted to suspend.

is foot control that important?
Years ago all the pro's said you were crazy if you weren't using a hand controled trolling motor. They had the extension handles, seperate on/off switch. At the time, foot controls were notorious for cables breaking along with mounts. So I bought a hand controlled. I'll never own another. It sucked.

Review this 95 Cajun boat (Errrr, I mean Ranger!)
Exactly what else was wrong with it? It's also possible the owner switched TM's before trading in and didn't bother to tighten the thing down. Heck, it looks like there's a lake in the background, I would've at least taken it for a test spin.

whats the diffrence between these finders?
Why do people pay extra for a GMC pickup vs buying a Chevy?

How Do You Partial Quote?
- Store reels and rods who makes em?
I was just recently reading tackle reviews on the latest Pinnacle line of reels and that article stated that Silstar/Pinnacle is making many of the house reels for BPS and Cabela's.- Review this 95 Cajun boat (Errrr, I mean Ranger!)
Cajun made great boats. They had some firsts like the first fish n ski, first digital dash, first with aluminum compartment lids. Bought out in the late 90's by Genmar, Genmar decided to drop the brand. Cajuns have a pretty strong following. The Ricky Green fishing machines were especially nice boats. The Rajun cajuns like the one listed were fairly quick boats that took rough water pretty good. That hull is a spittin image of a Charger hull.- Almost pulled the trigger on a lucky craft.
Try ebay and get them used. You can usually find them for around $10-11 dollars. - Store reels and rods who makes em?
