Kistler vs. Powell rods?
I have only compared the Powells to Heliums. Heliums are lighter, and more sensative. Powells have a more moderate action, and seem better for all purpose use. Both are good rods, it depends on what you are going for.

VMC Sure Set trebles
I bought a pack of red Gammy trebles, and a couple packs of red sure sets. The sure sets feel a lot sharper than the Gammy's, I was actually pretty disappointed with the Gammys.

Your # 1 rod choice
Kistler Helium LTA. By far my favorite rods.

Kistler... which would be best for Senkos?
6"9" MH Helium LTA. Ecellent for Senko's, and quite a few other techniques.

Looking for a "Burner" reel, which one???
Your only choice would be the Revo. The Summit has the same IPT as the President, so it is not a "burner" reel. The 7.1:1 gear ratio is only there to trick the consumer.

General opinions on Pflueger reels?
I don't like Pflueger b/c they came out with a 7.1:1 "Super high speed" reel, the Summit. It brings in a blazing 28 IPT. It just so happens a Pflueger President has an IPT of 28". So, Pflueger will sell you a high speed reel, even though they don't make one. Is that the type of company I want to give my business? NO!!!!!!!!

Finesse reels
The exact opposite of finnese reels

General opinions on Pflueger reels?
Shimano and Daiwa are tops. Quantums are pretty good too, and it looks like Abu Garcia is back in the game. I have heard more bad than good about Pflueger reels lately.

Sunglasses
If you know exactly what you want, you can get a much better deal on e-bay. I paid about $80 for my Costa's

Powell rods
I have one. It is a very good rod, and fit's the all-purpose category better than most other rods I have used. Very sensative and pretty light. It's a very hard rod to beat at that price point, I highly doubt you would be disappointed if you bought one.

Quality spinning reel
I own a Quantum Catalyst. It has performed perfectly for me, and the lifetime bail spring warranty is definitely a plus. If the bail spring is your primary concern, then you should go Quantum. Shimano and Daiwa also make some very good spinning reels. As a matter of fact, there are a ton of Shimano baitcast guys that prefer Daiwa spinning reels. I myself prefer higher end Daiwa baitcasters, and hardly ever use a spinning reel. What can a spinning reel do that my Alphas Ito can't do :-/? Daiwa, Shimano, Quantum, those are your three choices. I'm sure you will be happy with any one of those three.

Any one using the Falcon FTO Tackle system?
They definitely make the best boxes. Can't wait for the new jig box to become available.

FISHING GLASSES.....
I bought a pair of cheap wlamart sunglasses. It did not say on the packaging , that they came with a FREE headache. I bought a pair of Costa Del Mars. No more headache. Sometimes getting something for free isn't always the best deal, but everyone is different. If you can get by with a cheap pair of glasses, then more power to ya.
