Smack Down!
This was one of the funniest things I have seen. I loved his reaction as well. Good stuff.

Bassmaster Classic Tv Coverage
The gymnastics thing was mildly annoying, until I realized that ESPN did the same exact thing last year. A 9:30 start turned into a little after 10. If you say 9:30, just make it 9:30. Any other sport and they would have started the coverage on another ESPN channel.

What Should I Use?
Bladed or regular swim jigs should work. I prefer 3/8 or 1/2 ounce in natural colors.

Electronic Fishing Log - Any Suggestions?
I have a self made one in Excel. I bring a small notebook with me on the water so I can quickly write down the important info and get back to fishing. I then download my notes into the spreadsheet as soon as I can. The quicker the better so you can remember the finer points.

Hardest Thing To Learn?
For me, fishing the moment. My outings are usually limited to a 3 or 4 hour window once or twice a week. That causes me to rely on history rather than assessing the water each time. A bad habit and tough to break with such a small window of time.

Was It Me Or Was The Classic Very Boring This Year.??
I didn't find it boring. I was pretty fired up to dial into the coverage actually. That said, I would say it was a little less captivating than the past two for some reason. One thing that I did find intially frustrating was the coverage. It took nearly an hour before the website had the live stuff going. Once it got rolling, it was fine but the delay in coverage on the first day was a mistake, in my opinion.

Left handed vs right handed Baitcasters
Left hand for me. Just feels more natural.

Stockin' Up?
I'm beyond stoked and I'm trying desperately to curb my purchasing habits while waiting for the season to get underway.

Top 3 Plastics?
Rage Craw Pit Boss Paca Craw

The Ultimate Rod And Reel
Pretty straight forward for me. My 6.4:1 SX on a 6-6 MH Veritas. Not very sexy but I absolutely love that setup.
-
Yozuri Hybrid?
Hybrid is awesome stuff. I like the 10 and 12 for my baitcasting setups. I haven't tried it on a spinning rig yet, though I've heard good things about the Ultra Soft.

Has This Ever Happened To You?
Lake Fork is pretty horrendous also. They do catch fish though.

Gear Ratio Choice.....i Need Your $.02
My vote is for the 6.3 ratio but the inches per turn is a better indicator of retrieval speed, as it tells you how much line you're picking up with each turn of the handle. If it's in your budget, you may want to consider something other than the Enigma. The Pro Qualifers are a good Bass Pro product, much better than the Enigma in my opinion.

Paca Craw Or Chigger Craw?
Paca Craws are an excellent choice. They throw a lot of action. I like the Chigger Craws when the fish seem to prefer something a little subtler.

Your Fishing Partner Bothers You When......
When they purposely fire a cast across your line or position the boat so that you're left with absolutely nothing. Another solid one is re-tying but intentionally burying you up agaist the bank or dead water so you can't cast or be effective when you do. Most of my regular fishing buddies are great to share the water with. Others make outings less enjoyable. Those are the ones that I dont make an effort to go out with.

Line For Square Billed Cranks
I'm on the Yozuri Hybrid team. I use that for all of my setups.

Got My New Revo Sx 7:1 In Today!!!! Now About A Rod........
I would take a look at the Veritas. The Abu rods are designed to balance with the Revo line. I have a new SX matched up with a Veritas and it is very well balanced.

Vendetta Vs Veritas
My preference is the Veritas. Its lighter and has better balance, in my opinion. That said, I own mutliple Vendettas as well and I throw them regularly. They are light and strong as well. You can't go wrong with either rod, but the Veritas would be my first choice if the $99 price tag is within your budget.

Cranks: Rapala Best?
Rapala makes an excellent product. I've had a good amount of success with their stuff, and still do. I like XCalibur as well. They run between $6 and $7 and are top quality.

Baitcasting In Winter
x2 on the fingerless gloves. There are also some with fingers but allow the fingers to flipped on or off as you need. You can also bring those small, packaged hand warmers. They're cheap but effective.

Garmin Echo & Lowrance X4
I recently purchased the X-4 and have it mounted on a canoe. I've only been out once this year, just to test it, but was impressed. The screen is clear, the interface is very use friendly, and the readouts offer a wide range of customizeable options to suit your preference. I believe you can purchase a separate battery pack for it. I connect mine to the trolling motor battery. You probably don't have that luxury fishing from a kayak.

Abu Garcia/pure Fishing
I broke a Veritas last spring, April to be exact. The customer service representative was very nice, helpful and reasonable. However, they claimed they were not able to send a replacement because they were out of stock in the warehouse. The replacement rod was not delivered until late June. Mildly frustrating to say the least.

Abu Garcia Vendetta Casting Rod Need Help ?
I have four of them and haven't had an issue. Great value. I prefer the Veritas but still throw the Vendetta's regularly.
