Shoreline Fishermen, Storing your baits?
Its heavy, I know, but the Cabelas Super Magnum Denny Brauer tackle bag. Mine wieghs 38 lb full. That and 2 rods will wear yer butt out. I have a smaller backpack from cabelas, the advanced anglers series, that i will be putting a few confidence baits in and going that way. The Denny Brauer bag is my boat bag.

Hand guns
Definitley look into pistol courses. I am 17 years old, been shooting rifles/shotguns since I was 5. Had my first .22 at 4.5 years old. Practice at the range, and saftey will be #1 concern. Finger never goes on the trigger until ready to shoot, and situation verified. Meaning you intended to shoot a target, no obstructions, and you can do it. Im not talking just self defense here, but in all shooting examples. Always know whats behind your target, at all times. Bullets can pass through. As for self defense, Pistol at the ready, 2 hand grip, If it is singel action **** the hammer with the hand supporting your shooting hand(make sense)? Dont come donw on the target, come up. If you own the 870 your better off wiht a shotgun in the house, close quarters. Or a .380 Semi short nose, small compact and deadly to about 20 yards, more than enough.

Dropshot-ing
nothing was there, but I needed to try, my brother in law, the one who owns the boat, would go any shallower, he wouldnt eve attempt bass fishing. He wanted to drift fish or just sit there and hope a friggin laker would try and take it. Most boring time i ever had on a boat.

Dropshot-ing
Anyone wanna help me out? Here is what I do now. Tie a Finnese Hook from Gamakatsu with a Palomar knot, Take excess line from Palomar, and put a spilt shot or two on the bottom of that, Nose hook or waky hook a senko type bait. Am I doin the riggin right? Then I cast itout in 50-80 ft of water, Too deep? I tried it in 30 ft once, but the person running the boat wont bass fish, he wants to drift live bait for lakers(go figure). So normally I walk the banks, will this technique work in 12-18 ft of clear water? OKay so now it is in the water, What do I do, Normally I just twitch the rod tip? Is that right?
