Any New Years Resolutions for 2006?

Since a lot of people have been trying to quit smoking, I though I'd give it a shot my self.   So,  In 2006, in Jan. I am going to quit, not try, but gonna quit!!!

Mine is to spend more time on the water catching bass!!!!! ;D

And pay off a couple bills, so that I can spend more time on the water catching bass !!!!LOL ::)

Train my dumb lab to fetch ducks, and not just chase his tale in the weeds, Fish more of course, and get in better shape.

Wear my bullet proof vest at work like I'm supposed to.

I thought you coached???  Boy, Coaching must be a lot tougher these days!

I am with ya sort of on the smokes, only I quit last weekend, cold turkey. So far so good, but I have been eating the Heck out of sunflower seeds to keep my mind off the cigarettes.

If Rattlinrogue is coaching, yes he needs his vest,  we had a coach at Canton H.S get shot numerous times by a players father last year during school.  The coach was back on the side lines this year and the team played the state champion in the playoffs.  What an offensive game, last one to score wins.   61-58 canton upset the defending 3A state champs and still going I think.  The so-so team from a year ago rallied around their coach this year.   Great storyline.

Wear my bullet proof vest at work like I'm supposed to.

I teach at an alternative school. We get all the kids that have attacked their teachers, brandished guns at school, just got out of jail, etc,We were all issued vests and are supposed to wear them, but I don't very often. It's not as bad as it sounds.

I am going to lose 30 pounds and keep it off.

I am going to treat my wife nicer.

I am going to the doctor about my left knee that is killing me all the time and get it treated.

I am going to be nicer to others, especially sales clerks who drive me up a wall.

I am going to be a nicer driver and stop being so agressive behind the wheel.

I will no longer threaten to throw my fishing buddy out of the boat.

I will no longer mess with my fishing buddy when he is reeling in a fish that was stuipd enough to take his wrong selection of bait.

1) Keep off the 35lbs I lost this past summer

2) Save more money/pay more of my tuition in cash

3) Get those six pack abs I'm working towards  ;)

4) Get out fishing more often!  (I'm talking at least once a week!)

1. Cut back on the sodas, i drink way to much

2. Fish More

3. Hunt More

4. Get in shape

My resolution is to drop 8 pounds for baseball without losing muscle.  Been bodybuilding just got to lay off some junk. ;D

Good luck guys, I hope you can keep your resolutions (especially quitting the smoking and alcohol).  My resolution for this year is to graduate from my "NEWBIE" status here ;D

I have the quit smoking part down so far.  I have been quit for 1 Month, 1 Week, 4 Days, 16 hours, 48 minutes and 44 seconds (41 days). I have saved $140.11 by not smoking 834 cigarettes thus providing that much money for the Bait Monkey. I have saved 2 Days, 21 hours and 30 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 11/6/2005 9:00 PM

so I am thinking

1.I want to lose about 20 lbs...

2.I need to work on my "patience" with stupid people as I have none for them.

3.Learn to be a better angler

I don't think people should make TOO many New Years Resolutions.. but then again the more you have and IF you actually work on them then your success rate percentage rate may go a bit up... :)

It's only the tenth day of the new year and I already accomplished my goal.  I didn't even realize it.  Congratulations MattFly.  I hope you keep with it and enjoy all the extra cash.

A little update, I haven't had a cig since the end of the 3rd quarter of the national championship game Jan. 4th 2006.          My horns put me to the test that night.

I have puffed on a few cigars from time to time.

Cali, this probably isn't what you were talking about was it.

Matt.
