Caught 1 bass today he weighed about 1lb and a quarter. Also caught 2 pickerel. Was cold out today thinking they had the lock jaw going on. Hopefully tomorrow I can get back on them at Rocky Pond. Looking to get something above 3lbs. Full moon tomorrow.

So you fish from like the ramp to the island roughly? d**n must be a secret rock or something underwater that all those fish you catch live off of.

Yea, but you still manage to pull the hogs out Nev. I loved fishing there in like July that's when I caught my 5lber in my profile pic.

It'll get better once the pads start to come in. Hitting up Scobie Pond in new boston today. Couple my buddy's who fish around there say the bites been heating up they pulled a 5lber outta there the other day.

Caught 3 Pickerel again today. I swear I should be a pro staffer for Pickerel Unlimited lol. Here's the pic of one of them mind the cigarette. Nasty habit to get into I know started young and hard to quit. Overall good day of fishing

Yea that's why I like fishing ponds and small bodies of water. Because I know there are good fish in them and it's a small area to cover. I wish I could catch the fish that you catch on the daily lol.

That's man made me really think. I guess might type of style fishing would be I like catching fish above 3-4 lbs as nice fish and a 5lber to me would be a really big fish. Anything above that would be a trophy. I like fishing baits like Texas rigs a lot which I know can catch big fish, but it also gives me a broader spectrum allowing me to catch smaller fish as well. I like fishing for other species to. Some people hate pickerel I personally think there not a bad fish and I like catching the big ones of them anything above 20in is a good size one. My problem I have when I fish is finding places on new pieces of water that hold fish, but I'm sure you all know the struggle haha. Right now I have been sticking to a local spot around me going there just about every day and fishing the whole place, which I have learned the spot a good amount and I know there are some big fish in there. Thank you for the advice Nev and anytime you wanna fish the river I'd love to come fish it with you maybe learn a few spots there.

I have yet to try it I just started fishing around my area last year cause I got my canoe. Does it have some good sized ones? I have been looking for some spots around me that are really good fisherys. Potanipo is pretty bad way over fished. Rocky Pond in Hollis is ok, but there isn't really much size to the fish in there. Baboosic Lake is pretty good I have seen people catch 8lb fish in there, but it is kinda a paddle when you try to fish places in there.

Went out yesturday and I finally caught some fish haha. Caught a 15 in Pickerel and a 12 in Pickerel not what I wanted, but hey I'm not complaining atleast it's something will post pics when my phone stops messing up.

Just hit the Nashua River caught 3 perch in total lol, but at least I caught something. Went and fished all the stumps and trees I could find that were submerged pretty well. Gonna go back out tomorrow, might hit Lincoln Pond to see if I can at least get something. Feels out not catching a bass.

That was me haha. That is a cool idea I could make something like that in my machining class. Kinda like an anchor trolley.

I'll have to find a place maybe there's some slow moving water around the souhegan somewhere. Do you think River Dace could be used as well? I catch a ton of those when he try working for trout sometimes.

Yea I figured they might be hard to get around my neck of the woods just looking for some options.

Ok so quick question for all of you. Now I know none of you use live bait and find it to be an easy way of fishing, but my uncle and I sometimes do enjoy just throwing a live shiner or a craw dad out with a slip bobber every once and awhile. Now we usually use craw fish because they are easy to trap, but shiners are a favorite of mine. Does anyone know of where and or how I might go about catching my own shiners for bait? I can't seem to find a good source of where I could catch some myself and they are too expensive at bait shops. Any suggestions?

Yea I was thinking that I don't think it's what I am doing most of the time I think it's the fact my positioning with my canoe is always off because I have 1 anchor and my front end will constantly get blown around moving me constantly after I cast so I have to adjust constantly.

Went out today for the 3rd time this season. Came out, yet again skunked kinda aggravates me can't seem to get anything going. Today the reason I got off early is I was getting blown around by the wind a lot and it was very hard to even catch a fish still couldn't get a bite on the jig, buzzbait, T rigged worm nothing. You guys must have some magical places around you for fishing cause I can't seem to get on one. Still gonna go out though just gotta figure out a better system for anchoring my canoe because getting blown around every time a gust of wind comes by sucks might have to buy a second anchor to keep me in one place. if anyone has some tips for me to maybe I am doing something wrong that be appreciated haha.

Went out today on Lake Potanipo just for a quick run. I never really liked it there not really much structure or cover even the shoreline is pretty bland. My friend caught 1 small one and I got skunked been using a jig and rubber worm got some bites, but nothing crazy. Gonna go out tomorrow morning at a better fishery hopefully get on some. Might have to try out some square bills tomorrow change it up a bit maybe got them too bit. Still looking for my first jig fish though.
