Caught 2 fish today 1.4lber the other 1lb caught one on a hula popper the other on a white spinner bait with trailer hook both fish were hooked near big rocks jutting into the water in about 5-6 feet of water. Wasn't really much green vegetation mostly dead stuff, but all in all was a good day just had a great day on the lake in general. Any tips on where bass might be this time of year???

Yea I just sometimes don't have my boat all the time and fishing from shore is nice sometimes

I wont be starting fishing till May 1st I have no idea why I just always start that day I will probably be hitting up Rocky Pond or Lake Potanipo on Wednesday both places are in Hollis hoping to catch the big one.

I am looking to give spinnerbaits a try this year there in my go to arsenal along with a 7 inch rubber worm and a Rapala Jerkbait, but I never really got to fish them good enough to make them worth whiled nor have the produced anything outstanding any tips on them???

Ive always wanted to fish for trout never really new how I feel its like a big buzz up here in NH in the spring what would you need to get started in it???

Do you guys think Live shiners would do any good about this time??? I think I might increase my odds if I throw them out in the cold water conditions??? Any suggestions

I used a senko wacky rig I fished some stumps and trees in the water, but got nothing tried drifting down the river while dragging a T rigged lizard on the bottom near some cover still got nothing ha ha I think its still to early and the fish are still lethargic, but there was no green vegetation mostly dead cover like hay and other trees and such windy as well

Do you shoot your bow indoors??? or are you talking about guns???

I went out to Nashua River today got skunked still kinda cold for bass activity and it was windy,but it was nice to get out on the water and get a taste. I'll probably start at the beginning of May so in the mean time ill get more practice in with my compound and get ready for whitetail season again

May is usually when I start and I usually end September cause I start bowhunting for whitetails then I went out today and its still way to cold for bass activity.

I think im gonna take a trip to nashua river right when I get outta school today I'll probably go behind stellos and go from there

Now once ice goes out is your first areas to fish where the water is warmest??

Do you think its harder to catch bass right after ice out or is it just about as productive???

Hey guys just seeing if your from a northern state when there's ice you obviously cant fish year round, but I always wonder when do you guys start fishing and in what month and if so present your tactics for catching the early season bass.

I usually am on the Vermont end of it so near the top part of it Its good fishing I caught a 5lber in a cove of lily pads with a coppers frog

I fish Champlain at least 4 times a year I usually take my truck with my boat up there I swear I've seen Champ but i might be losing my mind haha that's about the only story I got haha fishing is all around good.

Good analogy and yes i do believe in that I am a better learner hands on or when someone else shows me I'm just going nuts hahah

I definitely am going to focus on power baits this year spinner baits crank baits I also wanna try the Alabama rig and catch some big fish!!!!!! I just need to get on that water. 2 things I am ready to fish for some bass and hunt for some turkeys good season this year boys
