On a different note my Fenwick came packed in a sleeve not only with bubble wrap but the ends also had foam padding. Both are great all around companies.- Umbrella Rig/ Small Swimbait Rod Recs

If the girls in your club look like your wife/ girlfriend sign me up lol- Finally Have A Fenwick Aetos
So I couldn't help myself and decided to take my fenwick out on the Big Lake ( AKA Lake Michigan). I slapped on my gen 2 revo winch with 65lb and threw a 6in huddleston deluxe swimbait. It was super easy to cast and very comfortable. The rod loaded up perfectly and paired with the winch it casted a mile. I will and an update after the week of torture testing ( spending a week in missouri prefishing a tournament / fishing the tournament ) during my spring break.- What Did You Buy Today!?
Today I only bought storm swimbaits as a joke. They weigh in at around 3 oz and are almost 8 inches long with a 3 in boot tail on the end.- Pro-Staff (Its A Foot In The Door)
Good that you got in when you did. From the way it sounds LFT is reworking their sponsorship dept.- 10 Day Outlook!!
True but we get that heat here as well and on top of that we the urban heat island thing working against us. Obviously it is not as hot but last summer we had a lot more 90+ days than anything else.- Revo S Vs. Revo Stx
Night and Day enough said. Go with the STX and never regret spending money on a great reel as long as you keep them clean they will last- Finally Have A Fenwick Aetos
If you are talking about the supreme xt then yes. My friend has his patriarch supreme xt on his spinning aetos and it looks awesome. Also I wont be able to update this post until a week or so later after this tournament.- 10 Day Outlook!!
You guys suck it is snowing here . . .- Finally Have A Fenwick Aetos
I purchased the 7 ft 9" H action Fenwick Aetos. I was first floored by how cool this rod looks. The handle material is awesome and does feel great paired up with several different reels ( abu winch & lews tp to name a few). The finish on the rod appears to be blueish until you hit the right light and the pattern on the rod really shines. The little details on this rod make it one of the coolest looking rods I own. Now hopefully it preforms as well as it looks. It will be used for swimbaits and also a rigs. I will update this post as I begin to test the rod.- Lew's Reel Choices ??
I love my abu garcia winch for deep cranking. I have not used a bb1 but have felt my friends and would need time on the water to talk about it. My tournament pro is 7.1 and a machine at anything fast. It would be a mistake to not buy 2 tournament pros, one for jigs and one for frogs. I would not want the bb1 for frogs since it doesnt not have instant anti reverse.- Looking For Central Il Club.
http://www.bassresource.com/bassfish/bass_fishing_clubs.html Hope this helps.- Lew's Discount?
Not trying to be an ass but a lot of sponsor discounts apply specifically to the angler/club they are given to. If you share them among non sponsored anglers there is a chance they will terminate your or your entire clubs sponsorship. These sponsors help us out so please do not ruin it for the rest of us. Also you can sell purchased equipment at the discounted price second hand but it cannot be directly bought for someone else. Ordering 10 reels will cause suspicion from a sponsored company. If you are talking about coupon codes feel free to spread them around.- What Do You Throw When You Hit Your "panic Button?"
If my pattern turned on late and most of my fish came off one bait I will continue with that pattern to finish that hour off. It doesnt make sense to try something that I have not caught any fish on all weekend vs a bait that has caught me fish. But if you my pattern fell apart ( weather changed etc) then I would switch up my bait. For a kicker I would go with the biggest jig I could get away with.- Boat Ride To Fishing Mindset
You honestly should have your game plan already laid out before you launch your boat. Crack the code before you even hit the water. Study the maps and know the patterns of the season. Once you get that done and you know the areas you need to attack get out there with a search bait and find cover. Mark key areas that tell you that there is something different there than all other points/ spots on this cove. Once you nail that down then get your boat ready to launch and hit the water. This way you can enjoy the ride and as soon as you hit the spot you pick up your jig/crank/spinnerbait etc rod and go to work rather than deciding what to tie on.- A-Rig
I dont think the balance matters as much if I put the weighted jig heads on the bottom and use a keeper on the other baits- A-Rig
I would rather have more baits but I will take a look at that.- A-Rig
In order to throw an a-rig on my lake I can only use 3 hooks. What is the best way to rig these baits without a hook? If I use 1/8th ounce hooks/ heads will I need to put an 1/8th ounce weight on the other baits to balance the rig? What is the best way to go about this. Really isnt my rig of choice and I would rather not by the wrong equipment.- Whats Your Alabama Rig Gear?
I have a fenwick aetos 7ft 9in H coming in sometime this week so we will see how it preforms. Hopefully it exceeds my expectations. I am paring it with an abu garcia revo winch for a rigs.- Releasing Record Fish - Right Or Wrong?
