Finding Waypoints And Fish Shelters For Your Lake On The Internet
There are a lot of spots marked that just are not there anymore. Sometimes the currents move submerged logs or they are cleared out by dredging and things of that nature. You only know exactly where they are once you map them on your sonar.

Rods With Missing Guides
dobyns not st croix I get my st croixs sent in for free most of the time.

Rods With Missing Guides
I worked at a tackle shop and would replace rod tips all the time. It really is different than the guides though. I might as well send it in and bite the $20 shipping bullet.

Rods With Missing Guides
Just noticed my guide popped out of my brand new rod. No Idea how it happened but now I am down a combo. Last time it happened on my st. croix I sent it in and got it fixed ( my fault on that one) but still it was covered. In a pinch could I still fish with this rod or will it cut my line? Its a close to $500 combo that I use for jigs so I need to send it in. I know some companies will send you replacement guides, can I change those myself? WIll I have to send this rod in to get it done correctly? I want to send it in but I dont want to be stuck without that rod for a month I have tournaments coming up so I would much rather do a quick fix then send it in down the road.

E21 And Other Company Issues
Yeah I wouldn't trust that guy with any technical advice lol. I am pretty sure must rods go into an oven to cure them, I think he meant to say they just make junk blanks llol.

Can You Identify This Plastic?
KVD could say he used the line dancer to win the classic and they would sell out overnight. I doubt any angler catches all their keepers on sponsor baits.

Using Fishing Map
fishidy has an online service somewhat like facebook that combines all of the hot spot information along with maps / contours. You can use it for free as a map service but with a membership you get all of the hot spot information. I would give it a shot.

E21 And Other Company Issues
I didn't want to have to bring this topic up but I have seen a trend of people recommending Carrot Stix or even buying them because they can be purchased at many big box stores. Idk if its the color or the name that attracts them more but honestly I hate seeing people fall for them. A friend of mine had his explode on a hookset, not on a snag but a hookset. He caught the fish by hand lining it in, the picture will be posted below. I know rods break all the time but this was right after he bought the rod, maybe even his first fish on it. Does anyone else have similar pictures or issues with e21 rods or other companies that just make poor quality rods.

Red Anodized Hawg Handle
Black and neon green on a lews tournament pro would be awesome. Also that handle on a revo sx would be awesome.

Where Does Your Lake Rank? Mine Is.....
Lake Michigan in 34th. Not even a five minute card ride for me. The $25 launch fee is absurd though.

Online Sale Sticky?
An entire thread would be better than a pinned discussion. That way you can see new sales.

Dobyns Savvy 735C
On a side note you really arent looking for bottom contact in a swim jig.

Carolina Rig Baits
Not if you bury the hook or snip it off.

Carolina Rig Baits
Understandable. Honestly in cold weather situations it took my friend close to 30 min to get a smallie dragging a tube bait but when he did it was a nice fish. Some baits just take patience.

Frog Rods
The mojo weighs in at 4.6 .. cant find a weight on the champion but it does feel lighter than the mojo ( wouldnt call that a fact but still). The DC has an additional 3inches on the 7ft mojo so that combined with the fact that the 735c has an extra fast tip makes it a completely different rod than the mojo. Also the dobyns has a higher weight rating 1/4- 1 1/2 vs 3/8 -1 on the mojo. Also my model of the 735c is full grip while the mojo is split grip. Both use fuji reels seats but different guides. Both also use different types of graphite as well. You really cannot compare the two because of their differences. One day I will own a few steez/ extreme combos . . . then I will wake up from my dream and go to work lol.

Carolina Rig Baits
Tube baits for small mouth. What line are you using/ what rod? You might not be getting bites.

Dobyns Savvy 735C
I only own Champions. I would say make the move to the champion lineup for bottom contact baits. Are you using tungsten bullet weights?

Frog Rods
I am impartial because I am throwing a dobyns champion 735c so it is on an entirely different level than the mojo. I still use my mojo I just prefer my dobyns over it. I threw an extreme with a daiwa steez and honestly I have never felt a better combo. Never said dobyns was the end all be all of rod companies. Sure people might say dobyns is better than the rest but people say the same about shimano, gloomis, st. croix etc. It really is about personal preference when it comes down to it. Comparing the mojo to the champion is not a fair comparison at all but once you move out of the mojo lineup into the avids and beyond st croix really begins to shine.

Skipping Baits Under Docks
Hard and fast is normally what I do. I am still learning how to do it and am not confident doing it under low docks. With spinning gear I can skip under anything, its just how that works out.

That was a great article. Never thought about using a drop shot this way.

Frog Rods
I used to use that rod now I use my dobyns and it is amazing. Even upgrading to an avid is a complete flip from the mojo.
