  1. Consider this, you see blue gill in lakes but do you see the bass eating them all the time? No, the reason is because the bluegill stay away from the bass just like you would a sketchy person in a bad neighborhood. Put a frog above a bass and he might take it.
  2. 3 spinner bait blades 2 hooked baits.
  3. ^ dont get an ultra light it really limits you in terms of bass lures. Get a 7 ft m rod it can do almost every application known to man
  4. Make a regular 3 way rig and have the two bottom have hooks, cut the rest.

reaction innovations skinny dippers on a manns a rig with strike king heads or similiar heads. 7 ft 9 in fenwick aetos and a revo winch with 65lb braid. Fun lure to catch fish on but it becomes very boring when the fish arent going after bait balls but that can be said about any bait.
  6. Can you post some pictures? Specifically where the straps are hooked. I only have hooks in the middle of my car and not the trunk.
  7. Take a pool noodle and a 3700 series box. Cut the pool noodle and jam in it the slots. Hook the hooks in the pool noodle material. My friend ties hair jigs for crappie and blue gill and he uses a fly box ( made to how fly fishing flies) he suggested doing this for hooks. Ive never done it but it makes sense.
  8. pflueger supreme xt I have one left in the box at my bait shop in your price range. Hard to go wrong I am buying 2.
  9. As I post this my friends chased 4 guys breaking into his friend car in a private parking garage. They left all their bikes so chances are those were stolen. I have kids come in the shop that have had some of their stuff stolen from the bank. Sometimes ill sign stuff out for them just cus I feel bad. Don't leave valuables unattended.
  10. Slack line is nothing compared to reeling down and having the bass spit the jig before you set the hook. Ive looked like an idiot a plenty of times.
  11. I absolutely hate round reels. They are great pieces of machinery but I just hate how they sit in my hand. That is why I throw my a-rig/ swimbaits on my revo winch. It has enough power to get it done. If I want to get a dedicated heavy a rig and swimbait reel then I will buy a revo toro winch or similar reel. Even the Curado 300 will work.
  12. Go deep for them then. Get the crankbait out or any other moving bait. Maybe slow down and fish a worm.
  13. That is the worst . I dont trust my rods alone in the boat when we go to weigh in I am always worried so I burry them in the boat. For our highschool tournament I kept an eye on the parking lot because so many of the highschool anglers left gear/ rods in the boats while they weighed in
  14. Buddy of mine had several thousand dollars worth of gear stolen out of his truck that was parked in the hotel parking lot. Hotels don't plan ahead for these tournaments when they come in to town. Locals know they are coming and hit the wrapped trucks/ boats in the lots. Bring your gear into your room and dont take any chances. Sucks that the hotels or tournament directors dont collect $10 more per person to have someone watch the lots over night. Sucks and it is common sense but with the amount of gear we have tournament fishing even bringing 40 rods inside still means you have a ton left in the truck.

No. swim jigs and swimbaits act differently. I will add a swimbait trailer to a swim jig. Also there are many different types of swimbaits with different types of swimming motions and tails. They are "almost" completely different baits.
  16. We get cut off in college tournaments all the time. Most the time we just cast a jig onto their deck or fish infront of them ( if its a competitor) . Yeah you were on the shore and couldnt have done what we do but still.
  17. Do you only do current models? For example If I wanted a handle for the gen 2 winch in my picture could it be done?
  18. How long will a guide rewrap take?
  19. Idk what type of area you live in but where I live the last place I like keeping my baits is my garage. If you have tons of gear put an alarm on that garage and get some cameras. Nothing is worse than have thousands of dollars worth of gear stolen. On a side note get some rubbermaid tubs along with metal shelves to keep them on.

Swim jig = spinnerbait IMO ALWAYS fish a swimjig or any jig with a trailer. I prefer reaction innovations little dippers or double/ single tail grubs of any brand. fish it in the same spots you would a spinnerbait and be ready to set the hook harder than you would a spinnerbait. I like throwing them into grass or even into an inch of water and fish it out from there.
  21. I mean its not a steel pipe if you hit the rod itll snap. I can see maybe bikers but if they are that close its too late for them lol
  22. I'll use a roll cast to get my bait very low.
  23. The tackle will run you around $100 which isnt bad. The heavy action rod can be used for an alabama rig so its worth it.
  24. I would put tips toward the cab for that reason lol
  25. I work in a bait shop and get this question all the time. I would spool up with a 10 or 12 lb test mono for pretty cheap and learn first. Then once you get it down in a week or two take about 3/4 of the mono off then tie a uni to uni knot or any similar knot to tie the mono to the braid. That way you have mono backing.
