  1. FRom what I can gather you drill your own pilot holes for the trolling motor. The only predrilled holes are for mounting the unit itself. As for the fitting I would wait to see what it looks like in person. Check out these videos. https://www.youtube.com/user/cockrell09/videos
  2. If I had a boat I would consider fishing it for a vacation trip. Pretty cool setup and tons of big fish in that lake.
  3. What are your go to baits for panfish through the ice. I normally use live bait when ice fishing and its been forever since I have gone. I share gear with my uncle and that is two hours away so i need to get some new stuff. What should I have for jigging panfish.
  4. 1. Stop fishing for big bass and focus on technique. 2. Practice casting, sometimes you have one shot before a fish swims away. 3. follow your gut.
  5. ^ new favorite member right here. You form the tinley area?
  6. I posted the utility set. I would use the heavy duty one.
  7. Don't have them in mine. Ive got custom made shelves in my garage and also use several drawers and stuff. http://www.planostoragesolutions.com/products/105-34-wide-four-tier-shelving-unit.aspx
  8. Several tournament circuits fish at carlyle lake. It is a great lake and it is less than an hour drive away. I am not sure what the clubs names are but there are a good amount.
  9. Peg boards and the plano shelves are really good investments. Personally I have used big shelve hangers from menards that cost about 12 and they have enough room to hold 12+ rods. I use this in my garage to keep them off of the ground. At my apartment I have 2 berkley rod racks mounted to my bedroom wall.
  10. Ive got a fluke rig that works but not many small cranks. Most of my stuff is geared towards bass so I would need to buy a longer lighter rod to cast light crankbaits a good distance
  11. We've caught some big bass out of stakebeds before. If it attracts fish it will attract all types of fish.
  12. I dont think i can buy a reel and not be happy with it but still.
  13. When you have so many products it helps to have your own order number.
  14. Was about to suggest a local guy i dont have experience with to help him out. looked at this page and was in awe.
  15. I would just use braid with a fluorocarbon leader or straight braid. You arent going to cast out 100 yards of line.
  16. Which events? Everstarts ? BFL ? TBF ? I cant do it this year but itll help others out.
  17. Its christmas season sell me on a sub $200 shimano reel that I can do anything with. Probably picking up a new 7ftmh rod for a secondary jig rod.
  18. Send it in. If they'll replace it then it isnt your problem.
  19. You did good but as with my rods, yes they do feel heavier. I have fished lighter rods but i love my dobyns
  20. Same thing here with that rig. Most people dont throw it though because they are from shore.
  21. If you buy the first boat you find you are going to have problems. Case in point: friends bought a fiberglass tracker with a 150 on the back. The motor blew on their second outing, trolling motor went out, livewell went out. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. The motor was a small fix but it ended their day on the water. They have the money to fix the boat so that really isnt the issue. The issue comes with upgrading a boat they bought for $2999. If you put on a $500 TM $800 depth finder plus other accessories why wouldnt you look at a boat in the $5000 range that is more sound then go from there. My buddy bought his boat for around that price and has put the same into it. Its his first boat but he treats it like a $75,000 ranger. Im just waiting for him to graduate grad school and land a job so he can buy that $75,000 ranger and take me fishing lol. Take everything I say with a grain of salt there are much better boat experts on this forum than me.
  22. JJ'S Magic . I was never a fan of scents or dyes because they made a mess. Seeing how it impacted my shakey head fishing was unreal.
