  1. Came across some new old stock. Top box has "new Shimano lurebox" sticker. Probably going to keep them for my older lure collection but almost want to save for the nostalgia at this point. Remember when these sought after years ago.
  2. where from? those are old stock dt flats
  3. Actually never considered one of these. I've got a boat load from tools/black Friday sales. Might just work Holds more than I thought, really like this idea. I was going to buy the edge boxes boat I can't get over the weight.
  4. Hi All, Was at the local big box and decided to grab tie downs for my buddies tracker grizzly (50hp) believe it's an 02. Asked the sales rep if they'll hold that boat and he said yes that's what they put them on when they sold their similar boat. Come to find out I got the 1" boat buckle mini strap. Safe load of 466lb, 1400lb breaking strength each. Think that same boat with a 90 is close to 1000 dry weight. We have a lot of stop and go traffic, will these hold up or should I upgrade to the 2"? They seem like they would work for a John boat with a tiller.
  5. Ya i think this was the one. The new model doesn't have the best reviews despite being almost identical. I think they say the handle is shorter but im not sure. Will go in store and check
  6. already have a bag like this. I'm looking for a bag to just carry the 3700s and can toss in the side once in the boat boxes Looking for something like this, could be a carry bag for anything. reviews a re negative on this. Browning used to make something similar
  7. Been a minute since I've watch the movie. If you wanted to be accurate to their area most likely fishing for walleye, perch etc. Unless you're fishing a pond or something I don't think people actively target bass , it's more of a by catch on tip ups. Depends on the lake though if it's gills and bass only I'll probably jig for bass. As for the rods you have to look at the baits. Some of the baits weigh less that the hooks on a Texas rig.
  8. Good luck fishing up by me. Take off in the morning with frost on the boat most mornings until the dead of summer The amount of companies without pit zips /vents is mind blowing. I worked in the outdoor industry for 5 years and while it all works it doesn't have the same fishing functionality that makes sense.
  9. Anyone have a suggestion for a bag to carry 3700 boxes? Boat is dual purpose hunting and fishing so it doesn't have lockable boxes or a cover. want to get something to put boxes in the cab easily. Already have a 3700 tackle bag for the worms/lines/tools etc
  10. I've got an old columbia that fits the bill but its too small and honestly just failing. Maybe I'll go basic rain jacket route. Just like the ability to throw my phone in my chest pocket and whatever pack of trailers im using.
  11. Hi All, Looking for mild to warm weather rain jacket ( 50-80 degree). What's the ford and chevy option? I've got a Striker float suit for ice fishing but its too warm and bulky to wear all day. Also already have a decent set of bibs but they are a little snug. Would I be looking at the BPS 100mph suits? Not trying to spend $400 on a jacket but I also want some quality features like neoprene cuffs and multiple pockets. Thanks for the help.
  12. Hi all, I have someone asking me to help set someone up with a saltwater setup. It's for a vacation house to be used on the dock. I'm just going to set them up with some penn combos 7ft medium/ 7ft medium heavy. I need some advice on lures. What's the senko of the saltwater world? Going to sent them up with some stuff they can pull out whenever to fish.
  13. I wanted to test this out last year but honestly didn't get a chance to. They have some good points, a10 ft rod would be ideal but ya
  14. I sold an 8' 6" ml legend bass and honestly I want to buy one for myself. Perfect hair jig rod.
  15. I love an arkie head but I'm a big fan of the boss wood Walker jig. Love the d&l advantage jig and baby advantage jig.Bought like 40 after a decent tournament once.
  16. Do they have a top hook or are they all line thru?
  17. If you use a Shad pattern, green pumpkin or white and chart you'll catch fish. not big on the bright red but I'm sure it works

I'm not big on swimbaits but want to dabble. Where do guys get their baits? Ive been looking at getting some hudds but I don't remember them being $25 a crack and $32 a piece on Amazon.
  19. I have been going all diawa for my spinning reels. Fuego is a decent reel for $99, but keep in mind I felt a few that seemed off out of the box. Could just be a manufacturer thing but some felt smooth as butter and another felt like it had slight resistance. Want to drop the entire $200 go for the tatula, light and smooth. If you go Shimano I will say that the Sahara felt a lot smoother than the Nasci, again could be a defect.
  20. That's a good point I didn't think about checking the connections. I had a bushing for the throttle linkage break and just replaced it. I could have popped something loose removing the cowling. Man I'm going to feel real dumb if its that simple. It cranks up or down but doesn't turn over I should say. I never fully got it to turn. Ill be sure to check all of the connections. Thanks for the insight.
  21. Have a few questions about my 91 mercury 90hp motor. Wondering if someone with some experience could PM me and help me trouble shoot my problems. I'm getting the motor to crank and it sounds like its about to turn over then cuts out abruptly. Thought it could be the battery so I hooked up a portable jump start and got it to fire then shut it off because the motor was out of the water. Issue is this motor is on a shore station so I'm trying to get it to fire on the water. Lowered the boat down to get the lower unit in the water and could not get the motor to crank again. I'm not smelling any gas in or around the motor so it isn't flooding. I've pumped the ball it seems to be getting hard but won't stay hard for very long. I've got a feeling that maybe the kill switch is going and that is why it wont go. I pulled the battery inside and put it on a charge and it said it was good to go. Put it back in the boat, got it to fire once, shut it down because once again the motor was too high. I put a volt meter on the battery and it was showing 12v but I was told it should read 12.8 or something similar. Is this just a battery issue or is there more at play here? I don't want to go replacing fuel lines if the issue is just a battery. Does the kill switch shut off the fuel pump? Pulling the smart plugs are a no go on the water because the motor has a cover over the three spark plugs. I should smell gas even if the plugs are bad right? Sorry for the rant some insight would help.
  22. Ya I would need something like a 6ft arm maybe more. thanks for the insight. I'm gonna buy once cry once mount this thing and just buy another for the next boat
  23. Safety chain is a must even for a drive a mile down the road. Anything could cause a failure and the last thing you want is a missile flying off the back of your trailer. After a ride like that I would grab some lunch or breakfast and let the bearings cool off they'll be pretty warm after a ride like that. I would be over prepared for a trip like this. Spare bearings that fit your boat, something to inflate tires, tools etc. You can get any shop to replace a bearing but if you have to order a part in you're SOL. Get proper rest I will try and find the pictures from a kid I know that dosed off and put his tracker in a ditch. Pretty much brand new boat totalled out, flew off the trailer and through the median.
  24. Have a 6'6 loomis crankbait rod and I can cast 1.0s and small cranks between boat docks with ease. Sometimes its nice to get under 7ft. That being said I've messed around with a baitcaster on a 5'6 rod and it felt a little bit awkward to toss around. Bait could have been too big and the reel wasnt a feather weight either.
