I'm looking to buy a bait casting St.Croix Avid for my jig rod. I was wondering if anyone has any input on which would be a better set up. A MH/F or H/F for jig fishing. I plan on using anywhere from a 1/4 oz to a 1/2 jig for most of my fishing. Thanks for any help.

I am looking to start fishing jigs this season. I'm wondering what type and test line to use for fishing jigs? (mono, fluro, braid) Also, if you use braid, do you direct tie or use a fluro/mono leader? Thank for the help.

I have been using the Zoom super flukes for only a short time. However, whenever I do use them I always catch at least a few nice fish. I fish in Rhode Island, Mass, and Connecticut. I use the white pearl style exclusively. I'm looking to expand my color options and would like some help on the best patterns to buy. Anyone who uses the Zoom's, I'm wondering what are your top 3-5 color choices? What part of the country do you fish? Why do you choose the colors you use?
