Swim Jigs
I have had good luck with a 3/8 oz Hack attack heavy cover swim jig. I use the bluegill pattern almost all the time. I have used sexy shad, as well. As far as, trailers go I use a rage menace, and Keitech SIF. I fish it all the time, as a search bait and to cover water.

Picasso Shock Blade Reviews
I used them last year with great results. I used the 3/8 model, with a keitech swing impact fat trailer. The only problem I found with them is the keeper really tore up the trailers. Bluegill worked especially well.

chatterbait rod
Look at an iRod gen 2 723c. I own one and throw chatterbaits on it and love it. For $150 you can't go wrong.

Whopper plopper 90 vs 130
I have a 130 in perch. I haven't tried a 90, but the 130 is good size. The 130 will definitely work when there is a chop on the water, and you have to put most other topwaters away.

I would go with the Lew's, as well.

Strike King Rage Tail Menace twin tail grub
As others have said the menace is a great swimjig trailer. I have caught fish with it simple T-rigged, as well.

Yamamoto Zako
Thanks massyak. I was looking at that zako color, too. Also, do you think the rainbow shad color looks similar to the bluegill flash of Keitech?

Yamamoto Zako
I was looking at these, as well. I am wondering what color most of you would use for a bluegill swimjig/bladed bait. I usually use a bluegill flash Keitech, or a bluegill menace grub.

What is the best rod for Chatterbaits?
Look into an iRod gen 2 723c. I own 2 and they are great rods for chatter baits, and swim jigs.

Swim Jig Rod
Last year I bought an iRod Gen 2 stone cold swimjig/bladed jig rod, and I love it. At $150, the price is good. The rod is light, I increased my casting distance and hook-up ratio. Here is a link to check it out. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/iROD_Genesis_II_Series_Casting_Rods/descpage-IRGCT.html?from=basres I liked it so much that I bought another to through my bladed jigs.

Frog Rod
I agree with timsford. The Tatula frog rod from sportsman outfitter is a great deal. And a great rod. I bought one at the begining of the season and really like it.

130 Whopper Plopper
The Fred's magic stick from iRod would be a good choice. You could use it for a bunch of other things, too.

alterative for keitech fat
I have been throwing a balded jig quite a bit this summer. I have been using Keitech swing impact fats, as my trailer. I find that they get torn up sometimes after just 1 fish. In the near future I will continue to use them. However, I am wondering if there is a good alternative that is more durable? Thanks for the help.

whopper plopper 130 - downsize hooks?
I have a 130 and have kept the hooks, as is. I have caught smallies without any issues. Good luck on St. Clair

What has been your best large bass lure of this late summer?
For big bass it has been a 130 Perch Whopper Plopper. And for both good fish and numbers it has been a 3/8th Picasso shock blade in bluegill with a 3.8 Kietech swing fat in bluegill flash.
